    When flexibility matters.

    GAS METAL ARCWELDING (GMAW)Carbon Steel

For carbon steel Air Liquide offers

four outstanding gas mixes that willoptimize your welding procedure.

BLUESHIELD 5 provides fast travelspeeds in spray transfer mode.

BLUESHIELD 6 enables fast travelspeeds and gives the operator theversatility of welding in spraytransfer mode as well as shortcircuit transfer mode. In addition toGMAW, BLUESHIELD 6 is ideal forMetal Cored Arc Wedling (MCAW).

BLUESHIELD 8 consists of 75% Argon, 25% CO 2 and has becomean industry standard for most mildsteel welding applications.

BLUESHIELD 23 improves arcstability, reduces fumes and spatter, and improves bead appearance inany mild steel GMAW application.BLUESHIELD 23 can be used in allmodes of transfer on any meterialthickness.

    Stainless Steel

Two mixes have been developed toimprove welding performance, beadappearance and color match for gas

metal arc welding of stainless steels. BLUESHIELD 9 gives you the benefits

of a high helium, tri-mix GMAWshielding gas. It is commonly usedfor all stainless steel short circuittransfer applications.

BLUESHIELD 20 allows for spraytransfer and increased travel speeds.

    Non-Ferrous

For all non-ferrous applications,BLUESHIELD delivers two optimized

shielding gases. BLUESHIELD A provides exceptional

purity and quality of argon shielding gas.

BLUESHIELD 1 offers high heatinput in the welding process for thicksection material where penetration isa primary concern.

    GAS TUNGSTEN ARCWELDING (GTAW)

BLUESHIELD delivers three, high-quality gases to meet the exceptional

requirements of GTAW. BLUESHIELD A provides dependable

x-ray quality welds and is commonlyused in the GTAW welding process.

BLUESHIELD 1 can be used foradditional heat input with good colormatch and arc stability.

BLUESHIELD 12 provides high heatinput for welding 300 series stainlesssteels. It is the preferred shieldinggas for automated applications.

    FLUX CORED ARCWELDING (FCAW)

BLUESHIELD offers two, premiumshielding gases for FCAW.

BLUESHIELD 8 is the traditionalshielding gas for welding mild steeland stainless steel FCAW.

BLUESHIELD 211 significantlyreduces fume emissions and providesa smoother metal transfer. It practicallyeliminates spatter and improves beadappearance and quality.

BLUESHIELD delivers a specific shielding gas for every

    welding process and application.
