„Newcomer“, also neue Branchenteilnehmer und ISM-Neulinge, zu sehen.

"Newcomers“ - in other words, new industry participants or those which are

just new at ISM. Whether you are interested in classic, innovative or trend-

contact the aspiring youngsters of the confectionery and snack industry.

The New Product Showcase has established itself as a main attraction for all

decision-makers. In a high-quality special show, visitors can get specific infor-

mation about novelties of the confectionery and snacks industry. In more than

120 showcases the exhibitors of ISM will present products that have emerged

after the ISM 2016 showcase. QR codes allow a direct access to the relevant

product information. As in the previous year, all visitors of the ISM have the

possibility to participate in the vote on the three most innovative products of

the ISM 2017.

In line with the motto "Sweet Traditions", a group of international design stu-

dents at the Köln International School of Design (KISD) will design a broad range

of new product concepts and product packaging. These innovations, which

generate inspiration and new momentum, will be shown exclusively to industry

and trade at ISM.

boulevard der ISM gibt es eine Anlaufstelle für Besucher, die sich einen

rund um das Thema Halal verschaffen wollen.

Halal ist ein zukunftsweisender Trend im deutschen und europäischen

Lebensmitteleinzelhandel. Die Vielfalt der Halal-Produkte und ihre Vermark-

tung gewinnt jedes Jahr an Bedeutung. Ein gut sortiertes Angebot an Spezia-

litäten aus dem Halal-Süßwarensegment ist eine Attraktion, die zusätzliche

Kunden in den Handel lockt.

Der Halal-Infopoint wird durchgeführt von DTFOODambassador und

FOODINT Transfer & Services.

Premiere at ISM 2017: at the central location on the Boulevard of the ISM,

visitors can get an overview of the newest trends, products and further infor-

mation regarding the Halal theme.

The diversity of Halal products is a forward-looking trend on the German and

European food retail market. The diversity and marketing of Halal positioned

products gain in significance every year. A well-assorted offer of specialities

from the Halal sweets segment is an attraction, which draws additional

customers into the shops.

Kaffee, Tee und Kakao sind seit 2015 fester Bestandteil des Messe-Konzepts.

Zur ISM 2017 erhalten die köstlichen Heißgetränke mit dem Cologne

Coffee Forum in der Halle 5.2 einen eigenen Bereich. Besucher haben die

Möglichkeit, verschiedene Spezialitäten zu verkosten und zu ordern.

Hier präsentieren sich Anbieter von italienischem Espresso, Spezialitäten-

röstereien der Deutschen Röstergilde, Anbieter von Instant-Kaffee, Kaffee-

Kapseln sowie Tee- und Kakaospezialitäten. Das tägliche Rahmenprogramm

reicht von sensorischen Schulungen bis zu praxisorientierten Workshops.

Am Dienstag, 31.01.2017 kämpfen Baristas im Finale des Espresso Italiano

Championship um den begehrten Titel. An der Wall of Coffee präsentieren

Mitglieder der Deutschen Röstergilde Röstungen aus allen Kaffeeanbauge-

bieten der Welt.

Coffee, tea and cocoa have been an integral part of the trade fair concept

since 2015. The delicious hot drinks have been awarded their own section,

the Cologne Coffee Forum, in Hall 5.2 for ISM 2017. The visitors will have

the opportunity to sample and order various specialities. Suppliers of Italian

espresso, speciality roasters from the German Roasting Guild, suppliers of

instant coffee, coffee capsules as well as tea and cocoa specialities will be

exhibiting here. The daily supporting programme ranges from sensory trai-

ning through to practice-oriented workshops. On Tuesday, 31.01.2017,

baristas will be battling it to take the title in the final round of the Espresso

Italiano Championship. Members of the German Roasting Guild will be pre-

senting roasts from all coffee-growing regions in the world on the Wall of

Coffee.

Der Fachcharakter der ISM ist eines der Fundamente für den Erfolg

dieser Veranstaltung. Die Fachbesucher-Qualifikation muss beim

Betreten der ISM nachgewiesen werden. Kinder unter 12 Jahren haben kei-

nen Zutritt. Für sie steht eine Kindertagesstätte zur Verfügung. Kinder ab

12 Jahren haben nur in Begleitung Erwachsener und nur mit einer gültigen

Eintrittskarte Zutritt. Säuglinge bis zu 1 Jahr dürfen getragen werden.

You will receive your free public transport ticket in a separate e-mail when

you purchase your admission ticket. You can use the public transport ticket

(2nd class) for buses and trains in the extended network of the Rhein-Sieg

Transport Authority (VRS). Exempted are Deutsche Bahn AG trains that are

subject to a supplementary fare (e.g. IC/EC or ICE trains).

For trade visitors only

The professional character of ISM is one of the main reasons for the

success of this event. Proof of qualification as a trade visitor must be

provided when entering ISM. Children under 12 years of age will not be

admitted to the fair. A day care centre is available for children in this

age group. Children above 12 years of age require a valid admission ticket

and must be accompanied by an adult. Babies 12 months old or younger may

be carried. Please note: Prams are not permitted!
