DIEM2: Solutions for Immediate Full Arch RehabilitatonMany patients seek full arch rehabilitation to quickly regain their confidence and quality of life. You can help these patients by offering DIEM® 2, solutions for immediate full arch rehabilitation. Biomet 3i previously offered options for immediate full arch rehabilitation in the mandible with the original DIEM® guidelines. This has now been expanded with NEW DIEM® 2 to offer rehabilitation for both arches utilizing innovative products to deliver provisional prostheses in as little as one day. This course is designed to provide practical and innovative solutions for placing up to six implants in the full arch utilizing Low Profile Angled Abutments on the provisional prosthesis the day of implant placement.

Participants will learn the DIEM® 2 protocol essential for patient care, additionally they will learn how DIEM® 2 may improve practice productivity and efficiency by reducing charside visits for each case.

The Secret of Custom Shade MatchingAs all dental professionals know, we struggle with matching a single anterior tooth more than with any other restorative process. What is the problem? Why are we so often unable to get a harmonious match? How can we achieve correct results within the least amount of time? This lecture will illustrate a detailed presentation covering these important shade matching questions and the final, visualized outcome.

Learning Objectives: 1) Outline step - by - step custom shade taking procedures 2) Answer to the question: how can color be corrected in a restoration after fabrication? 3) What material should we use? When? Where? 4) Through detailed analysis, learn what traditional shade tabs lack when it comes to achieving a harmonious color match

Luke S. Kahng, CDT is the owner of LSK121 Oral Prosthetics, a dental laboratory in Naperville, Illinois. In addition to being a board member for several dental publications, he has published more than 100 articles with major dental journals. He also lectures internationally, offering hands-on seminars to dental technicians and clinicians alike. The first and second editions of his highly successful Chairside Shade Selection Guide were launched in 2009 and 2010, with international sales worldwide. The third edition, produced in 2012, encompasses the same concept but as a ceramic shade tab. Hand-made, the shade tabs are grouped according to natural dentition as dictated by the aging process, and sold in sets of twenty

as: 3.0 (Young, Cosmetic), 4.0 (Middle Years), 5.0 (Later Years), 6.0 (Molars, Premolars and Canines) and 7.0 (Surface Texture, Tissue Color and After Prep Color), for clinicians and technicians alike. New Paradigm for Immediately-loaded Fixed, Removable ProsthesesThe edentulous population continues to grow domestically as well as globally. This market has been underserved for many years, and patients have had to adapt to ill-fitting dentures. Thanks to advances in technologies and techniques, dental professionals are now able to predictably increase function, form, and esthetics using an immediately-loaded fixed, removable prosthesis.This presentation will discuss the concept of placing four implants in the mandible between the mental foramen, followed by immediate loading using the patient’s existing denture through the utilization of a conical abutment with a gold coping.

Mr. Fadi Touma, RDT, CDT is a 1994 graduate of Ferris State University (Dental Technology program). He worked in a prosthodontic specialty office from 1994 to 2001. In 2001, Mr. Touma started his own specialty laboratory focusing on full mouth reconstruction, implants and cosmetic dentistry. He has extensive implant knowledge and experience with most implant systems. Mr. Touma holds an American certification in addition to his Canadian registration. He is currently the DENTSPLY Implants District Sales Manager and Technical Advisor for laboratories for the Eastern region of Canada.
