The salt spring already known by the Celts still continues toflow – nowadays underground underneath the Haalplatz. The octagonal Haal Fountain still reminds us of the spring'sformer significance. The tradition of salt production is revi-ved every year during the salt simmerers’ Kuchen- undBrunnen-fest at Whitsun, Simmering Shows in summer anda Salt Day in autumn.

You can still experience the brine up close in SchwäbischHall's Solebad, one of the most attractive spas in the region.Schwäbisch Hall's brine has a salinity level of 3.5 to 4 %,which enhances the well-being of skin, bronchial tubes, bonesand joints and strengthens the body's defences.
