Method of operation

The screw caps are spaced and orien-ted in the sorter and then fed to thesealer from above A holding devicepositively clamps the caps in thecapping head Glass bottles are pre-vented from turning by a tension beltand centre starwheel PET bottles areheld in place on the neck starwheeldisk by spikes

The capping head applies the closureto the bottle The closure is pressedonto the bottle by means of springpressure Simultaneously it isscrewed to the thread of the bottleneck finish As soon as the rotationis ended and the required tighteningtorque is applied to the cap a hyste-resis clutch ends the capping processThis clutch allows for smooth brakingand a constant tightening torque atall filling speeds

Method of operation

After the caps are separated they arepicked up by the capping head at thepick-up station Using an antitorsiondevice underneath the neck ring theplastic bottles are secured againstrotation while the cap is applied Thecapping head fixes the cap in placeand presses it onto the bottle witha predefined stroke The servomotor

transferring the power through gearrims and onto the capping headstarts the application

Method of operation

Once the crown has been fed fromthe crown chute into the transfersegment a magnet is used for thefurther guidance of the crown Apushing notch is then used toposition the crown on the ejectionplunger of the capping head Thecrowning head is lowered until thecrown in the crowning throat is

placed on the bottle The bottle thenholds it in place Afterward only thecrowning throat continues to belowered In the first phase only theforce of the guiding springs has anyeffect on the crownIn the second crowning phase theejection spring is pressed and thebottle is subjected to an increasedamount of pressure The crowningprocedure is completed once thecrown has been introduced 10486311048631 mminto the crowning throat In doing

Method of operation

Once the crown has been fed fromthe crown chute into the transfersegment a magnet is used for thefurther guidance of the crown Apushing notch is then used toposition the crown on the ejectionplunger of the capping head Thecrowning head is lowered until thecrown in the crowning throat is

Method of operation

After they have been sorted accor-ding to their positions in the sorterthe caps are fed to the capper via anopen chute A towing shoe positionsthe closures which are then directlypicked up by the bottle If a closureis missing a safety plunger preventscontact between the rollers and thebottle neck finish Depending on the

closure type a ldquofixedrdquo or a deep-drawing plunger is used for press-onand shaping The thread is rolled outvia moveable arms and if necessarythe safety strip is flanged The lateralpressure can be easily readjustedwith adjustment screws

closure type a ldquofixedrdquo or a deep-drawing plunger is used for press-onand shaping The thread is rolled outvia moveable arms and if necessarythe safety strip is flanged The lateralpressure can be easily readjustedwith adjustment screws
