Die Stabsstelle Wirtschaftsförderung bietet umfassende Unterstützung sowohl für die im Landkreis ansässigen Unter-nehmen als auch für Existenzgründer und für auswärtige Investoren, die an einer Ansiedlung interessiert sind. Dazu findet eine Kooperation mit den Städten und Gemeinden des Landkreises sowie mit allen im Rahmen der Wirtschafts-förderung relevanten Institutionen statt.

Die Wertschöpfung im Landkreis Kon-stanz ergibt sich größtenteils aus den Branchen der Bio-, Verpackungs-,

Umwelt- und Nanotechnologie, Gesund-heitswirtschaft, Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie sowie dem Tourismus. Das Erfolgsrezept des Land-kreises Konstanz ist die enge Verbindung zwischen Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft, Bildung und Lebensqualität. The Business Promotion Office provides comprehensive support to resident companies, start-ups, and foreign investors who are interested in settlement projects. To this end, it collaborates with the towns and municipalities in the district and other institutions relevant to business promotion.

The added value in the district of Constance arises mainly from the sectors of bio-, packaging-, environmental- and nanotechnologies, health management,

information and communication technologies, as well as tourism. Success in the district of Constance lies in the close interlinking of business, science, education, and quality of life. It is just one reason the district ranks among the most dynamic economic regions in Europe.

WIRTSCHAFTSFÖRDERUNG & FÖRDERPROGRAMME I BUSINESS PROMOTION & FUNDING PROGRAMMES

Die Stabsstelle Wirtschaftsförderung fungiert als „Lotse“ zur öffentlichen Verwaltung und anderen wirtschafts-relevanten Institutionen. Die Vermittlung wichtiger Kontakte sowie die Beschaf-fung von Informationen spielt hier eine zentrale Rolle.

Ebenso ist die Stabsstelle Wirtschaftsför-derung Mitglied der AG Wirtschaft und AG Tourismus der Randenkommission. Dieser gehören neben dem Landkreis Kon-stanz die Landkreise Schwarzwald-Baar und Waldshut- Tiengen sowie der Kanton Schaffhausen an. Eine Zusammenarbeit sowie ein intensiver Austausch werden hier praktiziert.

Zahlreiche Programme des Landes Baden-Württemberg, der Bundesrepublik Deutschland sowie der Europäischen Uni-on fördern Privatpersonen, Unternehmen sowie Kommunen bei ihrem Vorhaben durch z. B. eine finanzielle Bezuschus-sung. Hierbei übernimmt die Stabsstelle Wirtschaftsförderung als Mittler zwischen den Antragstellern und den Zuschuss-gebern folgende Leistungen:

The Business Promotion Office is also a member of the working groups „Economy“ and „Tourism“ of the Cross-regional Committee („Randenkommission“). In addition to the district of Constance, further members include the district of Schwarzwald-Baar, the district of Waldshut-Tiengen, and the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen. Collaboration and intense exchange characterises the committee’s work.

Numerous programmes of the state of Baden-Württemberg, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the European Union offer e.g. funding to private individuals, companies, and municipalities for their projects. In this context, the Business Promotion Office acts as an intermediary between applicants and subsidisers, and provides the following services:

Specialised employees in the district of ConstanceTo maintain growth opportunities within the region on long term and to further increase competitiveness, efforts must be made to keep qualified professionals in the region and to support companies in securing the supply of specialised personnel.

To this end, the Business Promotion Office participates in the initiative “Karriere im Süden” (“Career in the South”). Further partners are the Association for Business Promotion and Innovation of the District of Ravensburg, the Business Promotion Department of the City of Ravensburg, the Association for Business Promotion of the District of Lake Constance, the Business Promotion Department of the District of Lindau (Lake Constance), and the Association for Business Promotion and Location Marketing of the District of Sigmaringen. Here, over 300 companies from the area publish current and exclusively regional job advertisements, internships, and dissertations.

With a shared exhibition stand, the regions and partners actively market themselves at academic and graduate career fairs throughout Germany. This gives students and graduates the opportunity to engage in a direct dialogue with the partners, to plan their professional futures, and to identify suitable companies for launching their careers.

Activities include:

dieses Serviceangebots aktuelle und ausschließlich regionale Stellen, Praktika und Abschlussarbeiten von mehr als 300 Unternehmen aus dem Wirtschaftsraum. Aktiv vermarktet werden die Regionen und Partner bundesweit auf Hochschul- und Absolventenmessen mit einem eige-nen Messeauftritt. Den Studierenden bie-tet sich damit die Möglichkeit im direkten Dialog mit den Partnern ihre berufliche Zukunft zu gestalten und geeignete Unternehmen für den Karriereeinstieg zu identifizieren.

BETRIEBLICHES GESUNDHEITSMANAGEMENT I WORKPLACE HEALTH MANAGEMENT

Workplace Health Management

Healthy employees mean healthy companies and, as a result, a healthy business location.

Workplace Health Management (WHM) is a holistic approach that encompasses processes and structures at various organisational levels within a company. This includes occupational health and safety, workplace health promotion, and human resources management. To specifically offer small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to take part in WHM value-adding measures, the District Office of Constance has established a central coordination office for WHM as part of the Business Promotion Office. For companies within the district of Constance, an orientation guide has been developed to support them in their WHM activities.

The coordination office focuses on the following fields of activity:

· Central point of contact relating to the topic of WHM in the district of Constance

· Supporting the working group “Workplace Health Management” of the Communal Health Conference of the district of Constance

· Informing and advising companies with regard to services available

· Organisation of “company dialogues” considering various topics and aspects of WHM

· Developing methods for implementing WHM in SMEs

Gesunde Mitarbeiter bedeuten gesunde Unternehmen und bilden somit einen gesunden Wirtschaftsstandort.

Das Betriebliche Gesundheitsmanage-ment (BGM) ist ein ganzheitlicher Ansatz, der Prozesse und Strukturen auf unterschiedlichen Organisationsebenen eines Betriebs umfasst. Hierzu zählen der Arbeits- und Gesundheitsschutz, die Betriebliche Gesundheitsförderung sowie das Personalmanagement. Um vor allem kleinen und mittelständischen Unterneh-men (KMUs) die Möglichkeit zu bieten, an den wertschöpfenden Maßnahmen des BGMs teilzuhaben, hat der Landkreis Konstanz eine zentrale Koordinierungs-stelle für das BGM bei der Stabsstelle Wirtschaftsförderung eingerichtet. Für die Betriebe im Landkreis Konstanz

wurde u. a. eine Orientierungshilfe zum Thema erstellt.

Der Fokus der Koordinierungsstelle richtet sich u. a. auf folgende Tätigkeits-felder:

· Zentrale Anlaufstelle für Fragen zum Thema BGM im Landkreis Konstanz

· Begleitung der Arbeitsgruppe „Betrieb-liches Gesundheitsmanagement“ der Kommunalen Gesundheitskonferenz Landkreis Konstanz

· Information und Beratung der Betriebe über bestehende Angebote

· Veranstaltung von Unternehmerdialo-gen zu unterschiedlichen Themenberei-chen und Aspekten des BGMs

The Business Promotion Office provides guidance for all cross-border matters in the district of Constance. The office acts as an intermediary and multiplier for matters relating to Switzerland and the four-country Lake Constance region, as well as for European and non-European issues. This section of the Business Promotion Office comprises the following:

· Shareholder activities of Bodensee Standort Marketing GmbH and project partnership of the brand “Four-country Lake Constance region”

· Acquisition of European funds

· Anchoring of European public policy issues at various administrative levels

· Coordination activities with the neighbouring country of Switzerland

· Support of various funding programmes at national, federal, and EU level, including the INTERREG V “Alpenrhein-Bodensee-Hochrhein” cross-border programme, Rural Area Development Programme

· Networking with representatives of the European Commission in Brussels

· Representing the interests of stakeholders in the district of Constance internationally

· Communicating European public policy issues and informing internal and external stakeholders

· Collaboration with European regions, e.g. with the County of Istria in Croatia, partner region of the district

Die unterschiedlichen Anspruchsgruppen im Landkreis Konstanz werden durch die globale Vernetzung sowie internationale Belange beeinflusst.

Daher bietet die Stabsstelle Wirtschaftsför-derung bei sämtlichen grenzüberschreiten-den Angelegenheiten im Landkreis Kon-stanz, die neben dem direkten Nachbarn der Schweiz sowohl die Vierländer region Bodensee wie auch die europäische und außereuropäische Ebene beinhalten, Un-terstützung und dient als Vermittler und Multiplikator.

Dieser Bereich der Stabsstelle Wirtschafts-förderung beinhaltet folgende Themen:

· Gesellschaftertätigkeiten der Bodensee Standort Marketing GmbH und Projekt-partnerschaft der Marke „Vierländer-region Bodensee“

· Akquirierung von europäischen Förder-mitteln

· Verankerung europapolitischer Themen in diversen Ebenen der Verwaltung

· Koordination verschiedener Angelegen-heiten mit der Schweiz

Tourism

The working group “Tourism” was established to promote tourism and cooperation among stakeholders in the tourism sector in the district of Constance. It comprises the tourism organisations and two tourist service providers in the district of Constance. The head office of the working group “Tourism” is managed by the Business Promotion Office.

The following tasks are performed:

· Alignment of regional tourism in the district of Constance

· Contact for tourism stakeholders in the district of Constance

· Projects relating to regional tourism management

· Assistance in touristic funding plans· Member of the working group

“Tourism” of the Cross-regional Committee

· Collaboration with tourism organisations in the Lake Constance region (e.g. with Internationale Bodensee Tourismus GmbH and Deutsche Bodensee Tourismus GmbH)

· Collaboration with Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg and the responsible ministry

Zur Förderung des Tourismus und der Zusammenarbeit der Tourismusakteu-re im Landkreis Konstanz wurde die Arbeitsgruppe Tourismus (AG Tourismus) gegründet, in welcher die Tourismus-organisationen sowie zwei Leistungsträ-ger des Landkreises Konstanz organisiert sind. Die Geschäftsstelle der AG Touris-mus liegt bei der Stabsstelle Wirtschafts-förderung.

Es werden u. a. folgende Aufgaben wahrgenommen:

· Abstimmung des regionalen Tourismus im Landkreis Konstanz

· Ansprechpartner für die Tourismus-akteure im Landkreis Konstanz

· Projekte des regionalen Tourismus-managements

· Unterstützung bei touristischen Förder-vorhaben

· Mitglied der AG Tourismus der Randen-kommission

· Kooperationen mit den touristischen Akteuren des Bodensees (u. a. die Inter-nationale Bodensee Tourismus GmbH und die Deutsche Bodensee Tourismus GmbH)

· Kooperationen mit der Tourismus Mar-keting GmbH Baden-Württemberg und dem zuständigen Ministerium
