• Maligne (bösartige) hämatologische lymphoproliferative (System-) Erkrankung, die durch eine monoklonale Proliferation von Plasmazellen verursacht wird
• Die klonalen Plasmazellen produzieren ein monoklonales Protein, entweder komplette Immunglobuline der Klassen G, A, D, M oder E und/oder deren Bruchstücke (Leichtketten κ bzw. λ).

• M-Protein im Serum auf Myelom-Level
• > 10 % klonale Plasmazellen im Knochenmark
