01. Eligibility of Admission

1.1 The applicant shall be eligible for the admission only if, he/she has obtained graduation or post graduation degree with Sanskrit as a Special Subject with minimum 50% marks (45% for OBC/SEBC/ST/SC/PH) according to the NCTE rules.

1.2 A student who has passed Graduate degree or its equivalent form any recognized University of Gujarat state and other than shall be required to obtain Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the Shree Somnath Sanskrit University.

02. Who can apply: 2.1 Students are fully passed semester 01 to 05 of Graduate Degree or / and semester 01 to 03 of master degree

with special subject as Sanskrit from recognized University. 2.2 Applicant admission is confirmed provided that cleared the concerned degree (B.A./M.A.) in stipulated

time. 03. Applicant should submit the admission form in the college office during office time 11:00 to 05:00 in

working days, or by Post, R.P.A.D. and Courier at College only. 04. Write "B.Ed. Admission Form-2020-2021" on envelop and send the application form on the following

05. Admission shall be given according to the merit. First Merit will be displayed at college and university website.

06. Reservation of Seats : The Seats shall be reserved for the students who are of Gujarat origin and falling under the respected categories in the following proportion namely SR Category Percentage 1 S.C 07% 2 S.T 15% 3 SEBC/OBC 27% 4 E.W.S 10% 5 PH/VH 03% 6 Ex-serviceman 01% 7 KM 01 Seat

A student Seeking Admission on reserved Seat shall be required to produce a certificate of respective

category.

After granting Admission to the reserved seats the remaining reserved category vacant seats shall be

transferred to the unreserved category seats by the Admission Committee after the approval from the competent

authority of the Shree Somnath Sanskrit University.

07. Distribution of the Seats For the purpose of admission, the available seats shall be distributed based on Merit list. The distribution shall

be as per the following. 1. SSSU - 90% 2. O.U.G - 07% 3. O.U.S - 03%

08. Preparation of Merit List : The merit List shall be prepared in the Following manner. 8.1 B.A or its equivalent degree 20% marks of M.A or its equivalent Degree. 8.2 Total marks given in B.A and M.A marksheet shall be considered. 8.3 Percentage (%) shall be calculated up to four decimal points. 8.4 M.A shall be required to pass completely, otherwise it shall not be considered. 8.5 If merit shall be same then the following sequence shall be followed

Marks of B.A. (Shastri). Marks of 12th Standard. Date of Birth.

8.6 Those Students whose marksheet include CGPA/grade only and does not produce marks/percentage have to produce equivalent certificate issued by the School/Board /University showing the conversion of Grade /CGPA into marks or Percentage otherwise it shall not considered.

09. Incomplete, Wrongly filled or unclear forms will be cancelled and the applicant himself/herself will be responsible for the same.

10. If applicant tries to pressurize or threaten admission committee, then admission will be cancelled immediately. 11. The candidate has to remain present in person on scheduled date and time on his/her own expense with

original certificates to the college. 12. B.Ed. is a full time Professional Teacher Education Program of Two Years after graduate or post graduate

studies. (11:00 AM to 05:00 PM) 13. Main subject is offered as Sanskrit and optional are English, Hindi or Gujarati. 14. Medium of B.Ed. is Sanskrit, but instruction will be given in Gujarati/Hindi/Sanskrit. 15. Sanskrit Sambhasan must for every student. 16. The Tuition fees for Year – 2020-2021 will be decided by the competent authority. 17. The Tuition fees will be paid in Indian Overseas Bank by Cheque or Demand Draft or Bank Transfer. Cheque
