ZwillingseinbaudoseDie neue Zwillingseinbaudose für die Signal- und Leistungs-übertragung ist eine Erweiterung unseres Sortiments. Versetz-bar um 180° beträgt das Flanschmaß der Zwillingseinbaudose38 mm, somit wird im Vergleich bei Verwendung von zweiWinkeldosen eine Platzersparnis von 10 mm erreicht. DieVorteile der neuen Zwillingseinbaudose liegen vor allem in derKonfektionierungszeit, die Befestigung auf dem Motor erfolgtnur mit vier Schrauben, beide Isolierkörper sind leicht zugäng-lich und es ist nur ein Deckel zu montieren, bzw. demontieren.

Twin receptacleThe new twin receptacle for signal and power transmission is anextension of our product range. Mounting is possible in twopositions, 180° turned from each other. Benefits of twin receptaclesare primarely in shorter assembling time: Fixation on the motorsand drives with only four screws, mounting process is reduced tojust one cover, insulators are easily accessible.

Stainless SteelConnectors in stainless steel quality for food industry, maritimeand medical applications. These connectors are resistant againstoxidation and acid. They will operate in chemical, aggressive gasand wet environments.

Hypertac-Kontakt

Der Hypertac-Kontakt besteht aus hyperbolisch angeordnetenKontaktdrähten, die sich elastisch als Kontaktlinien am Stiftanlegen.Dieser Aufbau bietet ein 360°-Kontaktfeld und dadurch absoluteZuverlässigkeit und höchste Vibrationsfestigkeit.Bei Schock- und Vibrationstests konnten bei einer Auflösung< 2 ns keine Unterbrechungen festgestellt werden.Außerdem gewährleisten die vielen Kontaktlinien einen sehrkleinen Kontaktübergangswiderstand und ermöglichen dadurcheine sehr hohe Strombelastung auf kleinstem Raum.Geringe Steck- und Ziehkräfte ermöglichen eine hohe Lebens-dauer und halten den sehr kleinen Übergangswiderstand auchüber viele Steckzyklen gleichbleibend gering.

Hypertac contact

The Hypertac-Contact consists of hyperbolically arranged contactwires, which align themselves elastically as contact lines aroundthe pin. This design results in a 360° contact field and, thus, offersabsolute reliability and an optimum resistance to vibrations. Duringshock and vibrations tests, no interruptions could be determinedwith a resolution < 2 ns.Furthermore, the high number of contact lines ensures very lowcontact resistance, which makes it possible to have a very highcurrent load in smallest space.Low insertion and extraction force enables a high service life andmaintains the very low contact resistance at a continuous low leveleven over many mating cycles.

Crimpanschluß

Das Ziel der Crimpung ist die Erzeugung einer guten mechani-schen, elektrischen und gasdichten Verbindung. Diese soll aufDauer qualitativ möglichst unverändert bleiben und somit zuverläs-sig sein.

Die Verarbeitung der Crimpkontakte wird mit Handwerkzeugenoder Crimpautomaten vorgenommen. Die folgenden Punktemüssen aufeinander abgestimmt sein, um ein optimalesCrimpergebnis zu erreichen.• Leitung in Querschnitt und Aufbau• Kontakt• Werkzeug und Werkzeugeinstellung

Es gibt zwei unterschiedliche Kontaktarten. Zu unterscheiden sindhier gedrehte und gestanzte Kontakte. Diese beiden Kontaktehaben unterschiedliche Qualitäts- und Verarbeitungseigen-schaften.

Gedrehte Kontakte: Bei diesem gängigen Kontakt ist für jedenLeiterquerschnitt ein auf den Kontakt abgestimmtes Crimpprofil zuwählen. Bei verstellbaren Werkzeugen muß eine separateEinstellung vorgenommen werden.

Gestanzte Kontakte: Die Crimphülse paßt sich dem zu verarbei-tenden Leiter gut an. Dadurch ist eine zuverlässige Crimpqualitätgewährleistet. Außerdem liegen bei den gestanzten Stift- undBuchsenkontakten die Steck- und Ziehkräfte meist niedriger. Dieswird durch die definierte Lage des Kontaktpunktes und dieFedereigenschaften des Bandmaterials erreicht.

Crimp termination

The purpose of crimping is to produce a good mechanical,electrical and gas-tight connection. This should remain unchangedwith regard to quality in the long-term, and should thus be reliable.

Hand-operated tools or crimping machines can be used toassemble crimp contacts. The following points must beharmonised with each other in order to obtain the ideal crimpingresult.• Cross section dimension/gauge size and structure of the cable• Contact type and size• Tool and tool setting

There are two different contact types: Machined and Stamped.These two types of contacts have different characteristics in termsof quality and how the termination is made.

Machined contacts: With this popular type of contact, the suitablecontact size is matched to the wire gauge of the cable. The correctcrimping tool or die must be used.

Stamped contacts: The crimping sleeve allows a wider range ofwire gauges to be crimped. This guarantees reliable crimpingquality. Furthermore, the insertion and extraction force is usuallylower with stamped pin and socket contacts. This is achieved bythe large contact area and the spring characteristics of thestamped contact’s material. Stamped contacts can be supplied onreels for use with automatic feed crimping tools.

8 Das Betriebsmittel (Gehäuse) ist geeignet zum dauerndenUntertauchen in Wasser bei Bedingungen, die durch denHersteller zu beschreiben sind (Untertauchen). Dieser Schutz-grad bedeutet normalerweise ein luftdicht verschlossenesBetriebsmittel. Bei bestimmten Betriebsmitteln kann jedochWasser eindringen, sofern es keine schädliche Wirkung hat.

Verschmutzungsgrad

Verschmutzungsgrad 2Es tritt nur nicht leitfähige Verschmutzung auf. Gelegentlich mußjedoch mit vorübergehender Leitfähigkeit durch Betauunggerechnet werden, z. B. offene ungeschützte Isolierungen inWohn-, Verkaufs- und sonstigen geschäftlichen Räumen, fein-mechanische Werkstätten, Laboratorien, Prüffelder, medizinischgenutzten Räumen.

Verschmutzungsgrad 3Es tritt leitfähige Verschmutzung auf oder trockene, nicht leitfähigeVerschmutzung, die leitfähig wird, da Betauung zu erwarten ist,z. B. offene ungeschützte Isolierungen in Räumen von industriel-len, gewerblichen und landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben, ungeheiztenLagerräumen, Werkstätten, Kesselhäusern.

Der Verschmutzungsgrad 3 ist für industrielle Umgebungtypisch.

Dichtungswerkstoff

FKM (z. B. Viton)Dieser Fluorelastomer ist unübertroffen im Einsatz für Gummiteilein Kontakt mit Treibstoffen, Öl, Fett, Lösungsmitteln, sowie vielenSäuren, Laugen und Chemikalien bei extremer Temperatur-belastung. Dazu kommen gute mechanische Eigenschaften,Flammwidrigkeit und Beständigkeit gegen Ozon, Witterungs- undUmwelteinflüsse aller Art.

Water must not penetrate the operating equipment in harmfulquantities (flooding).

7 Protection against water if the operating equipment is dipped inwater under certain pressure and time. Water must notpenetrate in harmful quantities (dipping).

8 The operating media (casing) is suitable for permanent dippingin water under conditions which are to be defined by themanufacturer (immersion). This level of protection normallyrates to an air-tight field operating medium.For certain operating media, however, water may penetrateprovided that there is no harmful effect.

Pollution

Pollution level 2Only non-conductive pollution occurs. Occasionally, however, itmay be anticipated in residential, commercial or businesspremises (fine mechanical engineering workshops, laboratories,test areas, rooms used for medical purposes).

Pollution level 3Conductive pollution arises, or dry, non-conductive pollution whichbecomes conductive because condensation has to be anticipated,e. g. open unprotected insulations in rooms of industrial,commercial and agricultural companies, unheated storage rooms,boilerhouses and workshops.

Pollution level 3 is typical for an industrial environment.

Material for sealing

FKM (e. g. Viton)This fluoroelastomer is commonly used for rubber parts andwithstands fuel, oil, lubricants, many acids and chemicals duringextreme thermal stress. It has also good mechanical qualities,flame resistance and high durability against ozone and environ-mental impacts of every kind.

Connectorsconnectors are a generic device for providing an electricalinterface between two conducting surfaces.

Mating cyclesMating cycles are the number of insertion and extraction cycles aconnector can withstand before the electrical or mechanical failurein relationship to the connector’s design specification.

Upper limit temperatureThe upper limit temperature is the maximum permissibletemperature, at which a connector can still be operated, due toheating up of the contacts by the ambient temperature or otherenvironmental conditions.

Lower limit temperatureThe lower limit temperature is the minimum permissibletemperature at wich a connector can still be operated.

Air gapThe minimum gap of air between two conducting surfacespermissible at given voltage.

Creep distanceThe minimum dimension along the surface of an insulatingmaterial between two conducting surfaces.

Nominal voltageThe nominal voltage is the voltage according to which theconnectors are designed and related to the relevant operatingcharacteristics.

Unsere Steckverbinder sind mit gedrehten Kontaktstiften und deneinzigartigen HYPERTAC Kontaktbuchsen bestückt. Die von Hülsengehaltenen Federdrähte der Kontaktbuchsen legen sich linienartig umden Kontaktstift.Der kleinste verwendbare Kontaktdurchmesser beträgt 0,3 mm.Nach oben sind theoretisch keine Grenzen gesetzt.

The majority of the connectors have machine turned pins and theunique HYPERTAC socket. The spring wires are fitted by differentsleeves, make a line contact with the pin.The smallest practical diameter is 0,3 mm but there is effectively noupper limit.
