Eine Digitale Krankenakte (DKA) ist eine

digitale Sammlung medizinischer Daten

eines Patienten (SAP: Patientenorganizer).

Die DKA soll die Verwaltung und das

Abrufen von medizinischen Daten leichter,

schneller und übersichtlicher machen und

wird in Zukunft zunehmend die

herkömmliche Krankenakte in Papierform

ersetzen.

Zu den Inhalten gehört unter anderem:
