Undergraduate Scholarships

New Programs for Undergrads

►SIP: Study & Internship Programone semester coursework at a U.A.S.one semester internship supervised by U.A.S.for sophomores and juniors (at time of application)language requirements depend on individual program

►InternXchange11 weeks in Berlin in the summer for journalism and communication majors and grad studentstaught program + internships in mediagood proficiency in German required

Study Scholarships

►Support for one or two years of study in Germany

►Can be used to earn a Master’s degree – some taught in English – at a German university

►German language ability should be commensurate with needs

►70 awarded annually

Research Grants

►1 to 10 months (with the possibility of an extension)

►For PhD candidates and postdocs, must have well-defined research project (also to complete PhD in Germany)

►Around 30 short term (< 6 mo.) and 60 long-term awarded annually

► Express why a stay in Germany is critical for academic or professional goals.
