Der Chriwa Kalender für das Jahr 2012 ist der lateinamerikanischen Region gewidmet, als Hommage an ihre Menschen, ihre Kultur und die Schönheit ihrer Kunst.

The Chriwa calendar for the year 2012 is dedicated to the Latin American region as honor to its people, its culture and beauty of their art.

El calendario Chriwa 2012 lo dedicamos este año a la región de Latinoamérica, como homenaje a su gente, su cultura y a la belleza de su arte.

Unter dem Motto „Wirtschaft und Kunst – Wege der kulturellen Kommunikation”entstand in der Firma Chriwa im Jahr 2005 die Initiative zur Förderung und Un-terstützung von Künstlern mit Einzel- und/oder Kollektiv-Ausstellungen und derBeteiligung dieser Künstler an unserem Kalender. In 2007, mit Beginn unserer Ar-beit in Lateinamerika, etablierte sich auf natürliche Art ein fachlicher, persönlicherund kultureller Austausch. Um den kulturellen Austausch zu bereichern, lag esnahe, dem interessierten Publikum aus der nahen Umgebung und den interna-tionalen Besuchern auch die lateinamerikanische Kunst vorzustellen, die die Ex-ponate mit Neugier und Begeisterung zu schätzen wussten. Auf den Vernissagen und Ausstellungen in unseren Firmenräumen hatten vieleKünstler die Möglichkeit, ihre Bilder und Skulpturen inmitten fröhlicher Rhythmen,magischer Beleuchtung und köstlicher Spezialitäten zu präsentieren. Ein interes-siertes Publikum genoss es, die Bilder zu betrachten und mit den Künstlern zusprechen. Die lokale Zeitung der Stadt Celle begleitete und unterstützte uns durchihre fachkompetente Berichterstattung und ehrte somit auch die Arbeiten der Künst-ler.Für die Auswahl der Werke dieses Kalenders erfolgte ein Wettbewerb mit „Was-ser” als zentralem Thema. Die Resonanz und Akzeptanz bei den lateinamerika-nischen Malern war wirklich ausgezeichnet und wir sind daran interessiert, denWettbewerb auf andere Regionen und andere Kunstformen, wie Fotografie undGrafikdesign, auszudehnen. Die Auswahl der Werke für diesen Kalender wurdedurch die Mitarbeiter der Chriwa Gruppe getroffen. Wir hoffen, dass dieser Kalender Ihren Geschmack trifft und Ihnen die Botschaftnahebringt, die unsere Künstler mit ihren Werken ausdrücken wollten: „Wir sol-len auf unser Wasser achten, es ist unser Leben”.Vielen Dank an alle Künstler, die ihre Kunst, die Freude und Schönheit aus Laitenamerika, in unseren Kalender eingebracht haben und auch besten Dank anmeine Kollegen von Chriwa, die mit mir mit Hingabe zusammengearbeitet habenund es so ermöglichten, dass Sie diesen Kalender in Ihren Händen halten.

Themed “Economy and Art – means of cultural communication”, in 2005 on theinitiative of the company Chriwa artists were promoted and supported with indi-vidual and/or collective exhibitions and with the participation of these artists onour calendar. In 2007, when we started doing business in Latin America, a pro-fessional, personal and cultural exchange was established in a natural way. TheLatin American art has been presented to us as a supplement to this exchange andwe welcomed it together with the local audience, the surrounding regions and theinternational visitors, who appreciated the exhibits with enthusiasm and curio-sity. At the art openings and exhibitions in our facilities, many artists have had the op-portunity to present their paintings and sculptures amid joyful rhythms, magicallighting and delicious appetizers. The interested audience enjoyed to contemplatethe paintings and to talk to the artists. The local Celle newspaper also accompa-nied us, supporting and honoring us with their appropriate articles and reviewsabout the work of the artists. For the selection of the artwork for this calendar, we invited to an open tenderingwith water as the central theme. The resonance and acceptance among LatinAmerican painters has been amazing and we are interested in extending the in-vitation to other regions and other art forms, such as photography and graphic de-sign. The calendar works’ selection was done by all employees of the ChriwaGroup. We hope that all of you enjoy this calendar and that you all get the message allthe painters wanted to express with their work: “take care of the water, it is our life”.Many thanks to the artists, who brought in their art with joy and beauty from LatinAmerican to our calendar and also many thanks to my colleagues from Chriwawho have worked along with me with dedication and effort for you to be able tohold this calendar in your hands.

Junto al lema “Economía y Arte – medios de la comunicación cultural” en el2005 nace en la empresa Chriwa la iniciativa de fomentar y apoyar a artistas conexposiciones individuales y/o colectivas y con la participación de estos artistasen nuestro calendario. En el 2007 con la iniciación de nuestro trabajo en Lati-noamérica se estableció un intercambio profesional, personal y cultural de ma-nera natural. El arte latinoamericano se fue presentando como un complementode este intercambio y lo hemos acogido en compañía del público local, de lasregiones aledañas y de los visitantes internacionales que con mucho entusiasmoy curiosidad aprecian las obras expuestas. En las Vernissages y exposiciones realizadas en nuestras instalaciones, nume-rosos artistas han tenido la oportunidad de mostrar sus pinturas y esculturas enmedio de ritmos alegres, una iluminación mágica y deliciosos canapés. Un pú-blico interesado ha disfrutado observando las pinturas y conversando con losartistas. El periódico local de la ciudad de Celle también nos ha acompañado y de estaforma nos ha apoyado y ha honorificado con artículos y comentarios acertadossobre los trabajos de los artistas. Para la selección de las obras de este calen-dario se realizó una convocatoria con el agua como tema central. La resonan-cia y acogida entre pintores latinoamericanos realmente ha sido maravillosa y esnuestro interés extender la convocatoria a otras regiones y otras expresiones ar-tísticas como la fotografía y el diseño gráfico. La elección de las obras de estecalendario se realizó por votación separada y participación de todos los em-pleados del Grupo Chriwa. Deseamos que este calendario sea de su agrado y que les lleve además el men-saje que encierra y que nuestros artistas han expresado en sus obras: “cuidemosel agua que es nuestra vida”. Muchas gracias a los artistas por traer con su arte alegría y belleza de Latino-américa a nuestro calendario y a mis colegas de Chriwa que han trabajado con-migo con dedicación para que este calendario esté en sus manos.

Mercedes C. Amaya García (Meme)

Geboren am 25. September 1938 in Havanna, Kuba. Sie stammt aus einer bescheidenen Familie, deren Mitglieder sievon klein auf an dazu ermutigten, über die Dinge, die sie umgeben, nachzudenken. Im Wesentlichen ist das Portrait ihrGenre, obwohl sie auch Ausflüge in Landschaften und andere Zweige der Kunst machte. Ihre Federzeichnungen reflek-tieren insbesondere afrikanische Riten und Legenden. Sie absolvierte Studienkurse in Brandmalerei mit Leder und Holzin Kunstwerkstätten und nahm drei Jahre lang an Kursen für Grafikdesign teil. Danach vervollkommnete sie ihr Studiumals Portraitmalerin bei dem großen Meister des Portraits, Ernesto Gotario Vasallo. Sie ist Mitglied der Arabischen Unionin Kuba. Sie nimmt an Wettbewerben „Fayad Iamis” und der „Liceo” Literatur- und Kunsthochschule Regla teil. IhreWerke wurden im „Haus der Gestaltung”, in der Galerie „Merlin”, im Gemeindezentrum von Regla und bei der Kunst-Bienale ausgestellt.

She was born in Havana on September 25, 1938. She comes from a modest family, whose members encouraged herto reflect the things around her since she was little. The portrait is fundamentally her genre, even though she also madeventures in landscapes and other branches of art. Her pen drawings reflect primarily African rites and legends. She gra-duated in poker work with wood and leather in art workshops. She studied commercial drawing for three years. Then,she perfected her studies as portraitist at the grandmaster of portraiture Ernesto Gotario Vasallo. She is a collaborator ofthe Arab Union in Cuba. She participates in the competitions “Fayad Amis” and “Liceo” School of Art and Litherature ofRegla. Her work participated in group exhibitions in the “House of Design”, in the Gallery “Merlin”, in the municipalitycenter of “Regla” and at the “Plastic Arts Binnale”. Her work is exhibited in various galleries and hotels in Cuba and canalso be found in private collections in Germany, Mexico, Venezuela, USA, Turkey and Switzerland.

Nació en la Ciudad de la Habana el 25 de septiembre de 1938. Procede de una familia modesta, cuyos integrantes laalentaron a reflejar las cosas que la rodeaban desde muy pequeña. El retrato es fundamentalmente su género, aunqueincursiona en el paisaje y otras ramas del arte. Sus plumillas reflejan fundamentalmente ritos y leyendas africanas. Cursóestudios de pirograbado en cuero y madera en talleres de artesanías. Realizó estudios de dibujo comercial durante tresaños. Luego, perfeccionó sus estudios como retratista con el gran maestro del retrato Ernesto Goltario Vasallo. Es co-laboradora de la Unión árabe de Cuba. Participó en los concursos “Fayad Jamis” y del Liceo Artístico Literario de Regla.Sus obras han sido parte de exposiciones colectivas en la Casa del Creador, Galería Merlín, Centro comunitario deRegla y Bienales de Artes Plásticas. Tiene obras expuestas en diferentes galerías y hoteles de Cuba. Sus obras son partede colecciones privadas en Alemania, México, Venezuela, Estados Unidos, Turquía y Suiza.

Rubén Fernández Leal

Geboren in Havanna am 1. Oktober 1967. Sein Wissen über Kunst erwarb er autodidaktisch. Er nahm am „1.theoretisch-praktischen Wandbild-Malkurs” teil, unterrichtet vom Direktor der Organisation „Wandmaler ohneGrenzen”, Herrn Antonio Gabarre. Er ist Mitglied im kubanischen „Fund of Cultural Property (FCBC)”, der katala-nischen Vereinigung der Artistic Entities (ACEA), der Internationalen Organisation „Wandmaler ohne Grenzen”, desCenter for Arts Development (unabhängiger Künstler), und der Agentur für Visuelle Gestaltung und der kulturel-len Repräsentation YETI UNEAC für kubanische Kunst. Die meisten seiner Werke sind ein Aufruf, die Natur zu lie-ben (Umweltfragen). Die Reflexion mit persönlichen Symbolen machen den Künstler zu einem Bewunderer großerSchönheit. Dieses hat ihn zu einem Exkurs in die Fotografie animiert. Seine dreidimensionalen Gemälde sind inder optischen Kunst eine Technik, die sehr aufwändig und originell ist.

He was born in Havana City on October 1, 1967. His knowledge of art was acquired autodidactic. He partici-pated in “1st theoretical-practical paint mural course” taught by the director of the organization “Muralists wit-hout borders” Mr Antonio Gabarre. He is a member of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Property (FCBC), the CatalanAssociation of Artistic Entities (ACEA), the International Organization Muralists without Borders, the Center for ArtsDevelopment (Independent Creator) and the Agency of Visual Authors and Association of Cultural RepresentationYETI UNEAC Cuban Art. Most of his works are a call to love nature (environmental issues), conjugated with per-sonal symbols they make the artist an admirer of universal beauty. This has led him also to an excursion intophotography. His three-dimensional paintings are in optical art a technique that is very laborious and original.

Nació en la Ciudad de La Habana el 1 de octubre de 1967. Sus conocimientos de arte fueron adquiridos de formaautodidacta. Participó en “1er Curso teórico práctico de pintura mural” impartido por el Director de la organiza-ción “Muralistas sin fronteras” Sr. Antonio Gabarre. Es miembro del Fondo Cubano de Bienes Culturales (FCBC),de la Asociación Catalana de Entidades Artísticas (ACEA), de la Organización Internacional Muralistas Sin Fron-teras, del Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Plásticas (Creador Independiente), y de la Agencia de Autores Visualesy de la Asociación de Representación Cultural YETI-UNEAC Arte Cubano. La mayoría de sus obras son un lla-mado de amor a la naturaleza (temas ecológicos); conjugados con sus símbolos personales hacen al artistaun admirador de las bellezas universales. Por lo que también hace una incursión a través de la fotografía. Suscuadros tridimensionales son dentro del arte óptico una técnica muy elaborada y original.

Damaris Roy de Ortíz Sie wurde vor 61 Jahren in Panamá geboren, ist Mutter von vier Söhnen und hat als Kauffrau gearbeitet. Im Mo-ment ist sie Hausfrau. Sie war schon immer an Kunst und Kultur interessiert, so studierte sie Bildende Kunst inden USA. Vor zehn Jahren motivierte ihr Mann sie, zu malen und sie verbringt heute ihre Freizeit mit der Malerei.Sie wollte sich mit ihren mehr als 200 Gemälden nie an einer Ausstellung beteiligen, weil sie ihre Bilder wie ihreKinder betrachtet, denen sie sich nahe fühlt und immer wissen möchte, wo sie sind. Alle ihre Bilder hat sie in Acrylgemalt und 99% von ihnen haben als Hauptthema Bäume und Landschaften, da sie sehr von deren Schönheitangezogen wird und sich auch der Umwelt verpflichtet fühlt. Der Stil ihrer Bilder hängt von ihrer jeweiligen Stim-mung ab.

She was born in Panamá 61 years ago, is mother of four sons and has dedicated most of her life working in thecommercial area. At the moment she is housewife. She has always been interested in art and culture, so she stu-died plastic arts in the United States. Ten years ago her husband encouraged her to paint and nowadays shespends her spare time painting. She never wanted to participate in any exhibition with her more than 200 pictu-res, being that she considers her pictures as her children and she wants to feel them close to her and she al-ways wants to know where they are. She painted all of her pictures in acrylic and 99% of them have trees andlandscapes as principal subject, since she feels very much attracted by their beauty and is also committed tothe environment. The style of her pictures depends on her mood.

Nació en Panamá hace 61 años, es madre de cuatro hijos varones y ha dedicado la mayor parte de su vida enel área comercial. Actualmente, se dedica a su hogar. El arte y la cultura siempre le han llamado la atención,por lo que estudió Artes Plásticas en Estados Unidos. Su esposo la animó a pintar hace diez años y actualmentese dedica a ello en sus ratos libres. Nunca ha querido participar en una exposición de sus más de 200 obras,ya que las considera como sus hijos y quiere tenerlas cerca para saber donde están. Todas sus pinturas las harealizado en acrílico y el 99 % de ellas tienen como tema principal los árboles y paisajes, ya que se sienteatraída por su belleza y comprometida con el medio ambiente. El estilo de sus obras varía dependiendo delhumor en que se encuentra.

Ignacio Duque Gómez

Geboren in Medellín, Antioquía. Er hat einen Abschluss als Chemie-Ingenieur der Universität Antioquía. Er arbei-tet bei Postobón SA, einem großen Unternehmen der Getränkeindustrie in Kolumbien. Er ist Liebhaber der bil-denden und darstellenden Kunst und arbeitet seit acht Jahren als Amateur in verschiedenen Kunstateliers inMedellín. Er besuchte mehrere Kurse in Kunst wie: Einführung in das künstlerische Zeichnen, Grundtechniken derMalerei, Zeichnen der menschlichen Gestalt und er beteiligt sich am „Öl-Malatelier” im Institut CONFAMA. Er hatmit seinem Arbeitswerk „die menschliche Figur in Öl auf Leinwand” an mehreren Gruppenausstellungen teilge-nommen. In seinem Werk „Es ist mein Leben”, das in unserem Kalender erscheint, zeigt er seinen Enkel aufeiner verlassenen Barke sitzend am Ufer des Stausees Guatapé in Antioquía, Kolumbien. Das Kind zeigt ent-schieden mit seinem Zeigefinger auf das Wasser, um darauf hinzuweisen, dass das Wasser sein Leben bedeu-tet und wir dafür verantwortlich sind!

He was born in Medellin, Colombia. He has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Antioquia.He works at Postobón SA, one of the major beverage industries in Colombia. He has participated for eight yearsin art studies in Medellin. He has took various classes in arts such as artistic design, basic techniques of pain-ting, drawing the human figure and is also involved in the oil and paint shop at CONFAMA Institution in Colom-bia. He has participated in several group exhibitions with his work line: the human figure in oils on canvas. Hiswork “It’s my life”, which appears on our calendar, shows his grandson seating on an abandoned boat on thebanks of the Guatapé reservoir in Antioquía, Colombia. The child is pointing to the water with an authoritative gesture, indicating that being his life, we must look after it!

Nació en Medellín, Colombia. Es ingeniero químico de la Universidad de Antioquía. Trabaja en Postobón S.A,una de las industrias de bebidas más importantes en Colombia. Ha participado desde hace ocho años en estu-dios de arte en Medellín. Cuenta con diversos cursos en artes como son dibujo artístico, técnicas básicas de lapintura, dibujo de la figura humana y participa en el taller de óleo y pintura de la Institución CONFAMA en Co-lombia. Ha participado en diferentes exposiciones colectivas, siendo su línea de trabajo la figura humana en óleosobre lienzo. La obra “Es mi vida”, que aparece en nuestra calendario, muestra a su nieto sentado en una barcaabandonada a orillas del embalse Guatapé en Antioquía, Colombia, señalando el agua con gesto autoritario,indicándonos que siendo su vida, ¡debemos cuidarla!

Fernando Tovar

Architekt und Künstler, geboren in Barranquilla, Kolumbien. Zurzeit lebt und arbeitet er in Miami. Er studierte ander Andes Universität und an der „Pontificia Universidad Javeriana” in Bogotá, Kolumbien, wo er einen Abschlussin Architektur erhielt. Er war Professor für Architektur-Design an der „Pontificia Universidad Javeriana”. Für vierJahre studierte er an der „School of the Museum of Fine Arts” in Boston. Der Hauptbestandteil seiner Arbeit ist derUmgang mit Licht. Aber das Licht ist nicht nur auf eine passive Rolle beschränkt, sondern stimuliert aktiv die Sinnedes Betrachters und stellt mit dem Hell-Dunkel-Kontrast die Elemente der Komposition dar. Tovar nutzt Licht, umeine Atmosphäre der ruhigen Intimität zu schaffen, die eine Reflexion der Sinnlichkeit fördert. Architect and artist, born in Barranquilla, Colombia who nowdays lives and works in Miami. He studied at theUniversity of Andes and the Pontifical Xaverian University in Bogotá, Colombia, where he received his degree inarchitecture. He taught architectural design at the Pontifical Xavierian University. For four years he studied at theSchool of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The main ingredient of his work is the handling of light. But, lightis not limited to a passive role, but an active one that stimulates the senses of the observer and introduces thetwighlight that reunites the elements of the composition. Tovar also uses light, to create an atmosphere of quietintimacy that encourages a reflection on sensuality. Like his women are a tribute to the human anatomy, the stilllife of fruits or giant vegetables are a pretext to make a tribute to nature and a poetic appeal to offer an optimi-stic vision of the world.

Arquitecto y artista, nacido en Barranquilla, Colombia que vive y trabaja actualmente en Miami. Estudió en laUniversidad de los Andes y en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, Colombia, donde recibió su gradoen arquitectura. Fue profesor de diseño arquitectónico en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Durante cuatroaños estudió en la escuela del Museo de Bellas Artes en Boston. El ingrediente principal de su obra es el ma-nejo de la luz. Pero la luz no se limita a un papel pasivo, sino a uno activo que estimula los sentidos del ob-servador e introduce el claroscuro que reúne los elementos de la composición. Tovar también utiliza la luz, paracrear una atmósfera de tranquila intimidad que fomenta la reflexión sobre la sensualidad. Al igual que sus mu-jeres son un tributo a la anatomía humana, el bodegón de frutas o verduras gigantes son un pretexto para hacerun homenaje a la naturaleza y un recurso poético para ofrecer una visión optimista del mundo.

Geboren im Jahr 1945 in Barranquilla, Kolumbien. Er ist Jurist und hat seinen Beruf in der Judikative bis März2005 als Richter am Arbeitsgericht im Gerichtsbezirk von Barranquilla ausgeübt. Er ist Autodidakt in Bildhaue-rei und darin aktiv seit dem Beginn seiner Karriere als Jurist. Seine Werke haben an vielen Einzel- und Gemein-schaftsausstellungen teilgenommen. Laut „El Heraldo”, eine der größten Zeitungen in Kolumbien, begann EfraínArgüello „seine künstlerische Aktivitäten als Zeitvertreib, um seine Freizeit auf sinnvolle Art und Weise zu genie-ßen, indem er seinem Talent als stiller Künstler einen Raum gab. In seinen ruhigen Stunden zog er Nutzen ausdem harmonischen Konzept der Freiheit. Mit seinen Werken zeigt er uns, wie wichtig es ist, in einem gesundenAmbiente kreative Freiheit zu atmen”.

He was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1945. He is a lawyer and has practiced his profession until March2005 as a Supreme Court judge at the Labor Court in the judicial district of Barranquilla. He is a self-taught ar-tist. His works have participated in many collective and personal exhibitions. According to “El Heraldo”, one ofthe biggest newspapers in Colombia, Efraín Argüello “began his artistic activity as a hobby, enjoying his free timein a rational way opening space for his talent as a silent artist. In the time he spent by his own, he took advan-tage of the harmonic concept of freedom. With his artwork he shows us the importance of a healthy breath in theatmosphere of creative freedom”.

Nació en 1945 en Barranquilla, Colombia. Abogado, en ejercicio de su profesión en la Rama Jurisdiccional hastamarzo del 2005, como Magistrado de la Sala Laboral del Distrito Judicial de Barranquilla. Es escultor autodi-dacta, actividad que desarrolla desde el inicio de su carrera como jurista. Sus obras han participado en nume-rosas exposiciones colectivas e individuales. Según “El Heraldo”, uno de los periódicos más importantes deColombia, Efraín Argüello “comenzó su actividad artística como un pasatiempo, disfrutando su tiempo ociosode una manera racional dándole espacio a sus dotes de artista silencioso. En sus ratos a solas sacaba prove-cho al armónico concepto de libertad. Con su obra nos muestra la importancia de respirar un ambiente sanode la libertad creativa”.

Yazmín Páramo Acosta

Geboren am 10. Juni 1975 in Mexiko. Sie studierte Grafik-Design mit Schwerpunkt Fotografie, Malerei und Illu-stration. Sie malt vorwiegend in Öl. Im Laufe ihres Lebens war die Kunst das Medium, durch das sie das Lebendurch den Ausdruck der Farbe, die Intensität der Bilder und die Stärke der Linien wahrnehmen konnte. Dies alleserlaubt es ihr, in ihre Werke den Reichtum von allem, was existiert und von allem, was lebendig ist, einfließenzu lassen. Yazmín erzählt, dass ihr Vater ihr schon in jungen Jahren die Kunst nahebrachte durch die Architek-tur sowie dem Studium von Form, Struktur und Raum. Dies ermöglichte ihr, die Objekte aus einer anderen Per-spektive zu sehen. Neben ihrem Studium für den Abschluss in Grafik-Design, arbeitete sie parallel an derEntwicklung ihrer künstlerischen Fähigkeiten. So erhielt sie im Jahr 1998 bei der „Bienal de la Gráfica” eine Eh-rung des Staates Mexiko. Sie studierte mit Meistern wie Ignacio Barrios, Luis Nishizawa und Rafael Huerta. Mitdiesen großen Meistern der bildenden Künste in Mexiko erweiterte sie ihre Wahrnehmungsfähigkeit.

She was born in Mexico on June 10, 1975. She studied graphic design with a major in photography, paintingand illustration. She paints mostly in oils. In the course of her life, art has been the way in which she could seelife through the expression of color, the intensity of the images and the strength of the lines. All this allowed herwork to find the wealth of all that exists, what is alive. Yazmín says that “at an early age her father approachedher to arts through the architecture and the study of form, structure and space. All this allowed her to see thingsfrom a different perspective”. Studying for a degree in graphic design, in parallel she was developing her artisticskills. In 1998, she was awarded with a honorable mention in the Graphics Biennial of the State of Mexico. Shewas studying with masters of the size of Ignacio Barrios, Luis Nishizawa and Rafael Huerta. With these great masters of fine arts in Mexico, she was developing her perceptual skills.

Nació en México el 10 de Junio de 1975. Estudió Diseño Gráfico con especialidad en fotografía, pintura e ilustración. Pinta principalmente al óleo. El arte en el transcurso de su vida ha sido la manera en la que ha podido percibir la vida; a través de la expresión del color, la intensidad de las imagenes y la fuerza de las li-neas. Todo ello le ha permitido encontrar en su obra la riqueza de todo lo existente, de lo que está vivo. Yazmín cuenta que a temprana edad su padre la acercó al arte a través de la arquitectura y el estudio de las formas, laestructura y el espacio. Todo ello le permitió ver los objetos desde una perspectiva diferente. Estudiando la licenciatura de diseño gráfico y en paralelo desarrollando sus habilidades artísticas, fue acreedora a la menciónhonorífica en la bienal de gráfica del Estado de México en 1998. Con grandes maestros de la plástica de la tallade Ignacio Barrios, Luis Nishizawa y Rafael Huerta desarrolló sus habilidades perceptuales.

„Ich glaube an Gott und glaube an mich selbst”, sagt Martalena. Geboren am 13. Dezember 1956 in Havanna,Kuba. Sie lebt in der Altstadt von Havanna, wo sie ebenfalls ihr Atelier hat. Sie malt seit ihrer Kindheit und be-ruflich seit 17 Jahren, nach der Geburt ihrer Tochter. Vorher war sie Schauspielerin, Tänzerin und ein Star im Kar-neval. Sie hat zwei Berufe: Bibliotheks-, Informations- und Dokumentationswissenschaftlerin und Übersetzerin derrumänischen Sprache. Da sie eine unabhängige Künstlerin ist, sorgt sie durch den Verkauf ihrer Bilder für denLebensunterhalt ihrer Familie. Sie hat an vielen Einzelausstellungen und Gruppenausstellungen in Kuba und welt-weit teilgenommen. Vor kurzem, in 2010, hat sie ihre Werke in Kopenhagen, Dänemark ausgestellt. Laut Mar-talena hat die naive Kunst nicht den Stellenwert, den sie eigentlich verdient und man benötigt nichtnotwendigerweise einen Titel, um Künstler zu sein, dieses entspringt aus der Person selbst. Sie, zum Beispiel,ist Akademikerin, wurde jedoch zweifellos bereits mit ihrer Begabung geboren.

“I believe in God and believe in myself”,says Martalena. She was born on December 13, 1956 in Havana, Cuba.She lives in Old Havana, where she also has her workshop. She paints since her childhood and professionallyfor the past 17 years, after the birth of her daughter. Before, she was an actress, dancer and a carnival star. Shehas two professions: library and information scientist and translator for Romanian language. As she is an inde-pendent artist, she earns the living for her family from selling her paintings. She has participated in many indi-vidual and collective exhibitions in Cuba and all around the world. Recently, in 2010, she exposed her work inCopenhagen, Denmark. According to Martalena, naive art has not the significance that it deserves, and no titleis necessarily needed to be an artist, this emanates from the person itself. She, for example, is university gra-duated, but was undoubtedly born with her talent.

“Creo en Dios y creo en mí”, dice Martalena. Nació el 13 de diciembre de 1956 en Ciudad de la Habana Cuba.Vive en la Habana Vieja, donde tiene además su taller de trabajo. Pinta desde niña y de forma profesional desdehace 17 años, después del nacimiento de su hija. Antes había hecho teatro, baile y fue estrella del carnaval.Tiene dos carreras: es licenciada en Biblioteconomía y Ciencia de la Información y además es traductora delidioma rumano. Ahora es artista independiente y mantiene a su familia con la venta de sus cuadros. Ha parti-cipado en múltiples exposiciones personales y colectivas en Cuba y en el mundo. Recientemente en el 2010expuso en Copenhague, Dinamarca. Según Martalena, el arte primitivo no tiene el puesto que merece porqueno necesariamente hay que tener un título para ser artista, eso nace con la persona. Ella, por ejemplo, es uni-versitaria y sin embargo nació con ese don.

Geboren in Miranda Cauca, Kolumbien. Sie wohnt seit 1993 in Deutschland und seit 1995 in Soltau, Nieder-sachsen. Ein Jahr nach ihrer Ankunft hat sie mit der Malerei beim Künstlerkreis von Monika Dittrich in der VHSangefangen. Sie malt in verschiedenen Techniken wie Aquarell und Acryl. Sie malt gern Landschaften, Portraits,Akt, Häuser, Stillleben und abstrakt. Das Malen bereitet ihr viel Freude; sie arbeitet besonders gern und viel mitKindern und behinderten Personen, weil diesen am Besten zu Eigen ist, ihre Fantasien und Gefühle auf der Lein-wand festzuhalten. Ihre Werke wurden in Deutschland und in Italien ausgestellt.

Alina Alejandra Picard López Geboren am 25. Oktober 1986 in Havanna, Kuba. Sie besitzt einen Abschluss inKunstgeschichte. Alina sah ihrer Mutter Martalena, die auch in unserem Kalender ihreKunst präsentiert, beim Malen zu und wurde dadurch selbst an die Malerei herange-führt. Sie arbeitet abstrakt, widmet sich auch der Dekoration von Flaschen und demDesign von Kleidung aus Recyclingmaterial wie Zeitungen, Nylon und umweltfreund-lichen Stoffen. Sie erarbeitete u.a. Werkstücke aus Schachteln für Präservative für eineAusstellung zum Thema „AIDS”.

She was born in Havana City on October 25, 1986. She has a degree in art history.Watching her mother Martalena painting, who also appears in our calendar, she washerself lead to painting. Her style is abstract art, dedicating herself to the decorationof bottles and designing clothes for modeling out of different recycling materials suchas newspapers, nylon and environmentally sound material. She made several pieceswith bags of condoms for an exhibition about AIDS.

De ver pintar a su madre Martalena, quien también aparece en nuestro ca-lendario, decide incursionar en la pintura. Su estilo es el arte abstracto para la deco-ración de botellas y en el diseño de ropa para modelaje con distintos materialesreciclados como periódicos, nylon y ecológicos. „Peresosa, der Maurer, der Städte malt”. Geboren am 1. März 1966 in Havanna, Kuba.Er ist Autodidakt. Seine erste Einzelausstellung hatte er im Jahr 2009 im Hotel „San Mi-guel” in Havannas Altstadt. Laut den Kritikern wird es in einigen wenigen Jahren einfa-cher zu beurteilen sein, wie seine Ausdrucksart sich entwickeln wird. Heute können wiraus seinen Werken, die er uns präsentiert, einen äußerst sensiblen Mann erspüren: Pe-resosa berührt die Leinwand liebevoll. Durch seine Arbeit beobachtet er die Stadt Ha-vanna mit ihren Rundbögen, ihren Säulen, ihren Kuppeln und ihren Balustraden. SeineWerke erzählen von Auswanderungen, Begegnungen, Liebe und von Scheidewegen. Ermalt das Meer, die Wege, den Himmel und seine kubanische Fahne. Besonders auffäl-lig: Sein Interesse an Scheren, mit denen er jeden freien Platz ausfüllt.

Según la crítica, quizás sea muy ligero au-gurar lo que será la obra de Eduardo Pérez Sosa en unos pocos años; hoy con las pie-zas que nos propone, podemos intuir un hombre en extremo sensible que toca el lienzocon la fuerza del enamorado. Por su profesión observa La Habana con sus arcos demedio punto, sus columnas, sus cúpulas y sus enrejados. Sus obras revelan la emi-gración, los encuentros, el amor y las encrucijadas. Pinta el mar, los caminos, el cieloy su bandera de Cuba. En especial, resalta su interés por las tijeras con las que colmacada espacio.

Ihre Botschaft ist: „Die Erhaltung des Wassers istdie Priorität für die zukünftigen Generationen”.
