Entry Information

Effective: 2017-06-10

Veterinarian Regulations1a Clippen: According to the German law clipping of palpa-tion hairs around the chin and nostrils as well as within the ears is forbidden and will be prosecuted. Owners of clipped horses arriving at the AMERICANA show grounds will be re-ported to the police. The horses are not permitted to enter the show. Entry fees and additional fees, e.g. cattle charge, stall fees, etc. will not be refunded.1b Health Certificate: Horses in German ownership are only permitted if the owner shows a valid HORSE PASSPORt (EQUIDENPASS) to the show office and to the personnel at the entrance of the show grounds. Please make sure to bring your HORSE PASSPORT (EQUIDENPASS) with you.

Horses in European ownership (other than German) need to have a valid EU Health Certificate according to European directive 2009/156/EG. You find the corresponding informa-tion online at http://bit.ly/americana-health. For the different countries there are individual forms available, e.g. in English (http://bit.ly/americana-health-en), Italian (http://bit.ly/ameri-cana-health-it) or French (http://bit.ly/americana-health-fr). If your country requires a HORSE PASSPORT (EQUIDENPASS) to transport horses please make sure to bring your HORSE PASSPORT also with you. The health certificate must be sig-ned by the States Veterinarian of the respective country and must not be older than 10 days before entering Germany. It needs to be in German or English.

Horses in non-European-ownership (outside the EU) need to contact the Sports & Showmanagement because of the very special regulations.1c Healthy, sound and free of contagious diseases: Every horse owner and rider ensures with their participation that every horse nominated in their name is healthy and sound and free of contagious diseases. If a horse gets a disease or is suspected of having a disease during the AMERICANA, a veterinarian will be called immediately for medical exa-mination and/or treatment at the expense of the owner or rider of the horse. The medical examination can be asked for and instructed by the State‘s Veterinarian or the show management at the expense of the owner or rider of the hor-se. Furthermore, the rider or presenter ensures that every horse brought and nominated to the AMERICANA is insured correctly and sufficiently (third party liability insurance).1d Coggins-test: All horses must have a valid Coggins test, issued in 2017. Horses without valid Coggins will be repre-hended from the AMERICANA fair grounds and no fees will be refunded.1e Violations against health regulations: Any violations against health regulations can lead to a quarantine executed by the states veterinarian. The quarantine must be paid by the rider or presenter of the horse. Any violation will lead to the AMERICANA disqualification.It is not possible in any case to refund entry fees or additio-nal fees, even if the cancellation of the horse‘s nomination is reported to the show office prior to the AMERICANA. If a horse is nominated and the nomination has to be cancelled, a different horse can be nominated instead. The same health and insurance rules and regulations apply for this newly no-minated horse.1f Doping tests: The treatment of horses with substances or drugs that forbidden according to the Doping law is prohibi-ted. Upon discovery of the existence of prohibited surgery or

administration of substances or drugs, the horse will be dis-qualified immediately. Paid Price money must be paid back and/or special prices, as well as titles must be given back to the AMERICANA Sport Management. All horses showing at the AMERICANA are subject to doping tests. Doping tests are a part of the NRHA regulations and all horses shown in NRHA classes will be tested according to NRHA regulations, except those horses only shown in the NRHA youth classes.

General Regulations2a Arrival / Opening hours of AMERICANA 2017: The AME-RICANA show grounds will be opened on Friday September 1st., 2017 at noon (12:00 p.m.). It is not possible to enter the show grounds earlier!2b Arriving / Shaving, Feed & health papers: After arriving, you have to stop outside the gate of the show grounds. You will receive a docket. With the docket and your health certi-fication and/or horse passport, you will walk to the registra-tion office in Hall 5. After it is confirmed that all charges are paid you will receive your papers for the competition. From there you walk to the feed company and Health Certificate handling, where your health certificate will be checked. Af-terwards, you will go to the stall office where you will recei-ve your stall number and a voucher for shavings. After your docket is complete, you will be allowed to drive onto the show grounds. The health certificates will be processed at the fair ground by the official forwarding agent.

Opening hours for sale of feed and shavings will be posted at the show office. The phone number for further informa-tion as well as all details for the sale of shaving and feed is available at: www.americana.eu – show participants – FAQ for show participants.2c Pay-out price money: All classes have value-added tax (VAT) included. The 19% VAT will be deducted from the entry fee before the distribution of any prize money or other fees, e.g. association Fee, trophy Fee, added money. The price money will be wired within 4 weeks after the show. Prior condition: the correct bank information must be available for paying out (please check it in the entry forms).2d Judges: All classes that are NRHA uSA, NCHA uSA or NRCHA uSA will be judged by judges who are official judges of the corresponding associations. All-around classes will be judged by AQHA approved judges.2e Eligibility and qualification: Every class is open to all ri-ders of all nationalities. There is no qualification necessary to enter the AMERICANA. However, for some classes there will be a go-round. The AMERICANA World Open Champion title will be awarded to the winner of a class, the Reserve Champion title will go to the rider placed second in a class.2f Youth competitors: Youth riders are those that were still 18 years old on January 1, 2017

Youth riders are not allowed to show stallions in the classes AC01, AC02, AC03, AC20, AC40, AC50, AC70, AC71 and in the World Cup classes WPlO, WTrO and WRrO. Youth riders are allowed to show stallions in the World Cup classes WCuO, WcuN and in the classes AC80 and AC81 (according to NCHA rulebook), in all NR classes, WRnO and WRnN (which will be judged according to NRHA rulebook), also in all RC approved Cow Horse classes, WRcO und WRcN (accord. to NRCHA ru-lebook).

Entry Information

2g Cancelled classes: If a class has to be cancelled due to the organizers fault, the entry fee will be refunded, but not addi-tional fees, including office charge and stall fees.2h Deadline for nomination and payment of fees: The deadli-ne for nominations is July 21, 2017 (date of postmark). Plea-se send nominations to Ready-Steady-Show GmbH, Sandra Quade, Muehlenfeld 10 – 45470 Muelheim-Ruhr / Germany. If a nomination was send after the deadline, a late fee of € 50 per class will be charged. Late entries can be rejected.

Entries will be accepted by post mail or attached to an email or by Fax to: +49 (0)208 9119 3629. The entry is valid as soon as the registration office receives your entry form. For the payment of the entries, stalls, camper place, etc. a valid check about the total amount has to be send, or the amount has to be paid by a bank transfer. If the check is issued by a non-German bank, please add € 12.50 handling charge. By payment through a bank transfer, all banking fees have to be paid by sender. Send bank transfer to:

Please make sure to reference the rider and horses name on your check and bank transfer. If rider and horse are not referenced we cannot guarantee that the payment will be al-located to your entry.2i Equipment: During the whole AMERICANA event, you may only use equipment that is allowed during the official show. The only additional equipment that may be used in the warm up arena is a „running martingale“ and/or „a no-seband“, which may not be made of wire. The sports mana-gement or personnel acting on their behalf, e.g. supervisor of the warm up arena, is allowed to inspect the equipment at any time. They can demand the removal or modification of equipment. If the rider is not following the instructions, concerning equipment or possible miss-use of the horse, the rider and/or horse may be disqualified. Additional steps can be decided and instructed by the AMERICANA arbitration committee (see #2-j), including the step to expel the horse from the AMERICANA show grounds.2j AMERICANA 2017 arbitration committee: consists of Joa-chim W. Bochmann - Show Management, Eugenio Latorre - Judge and Joe Carter - Judge.2k Ribbon presentation / pay out of prize money: Price Mo-ney will only be paid by bank transfer and will only be paid if the rider shows up at the ribbons presentation with the horse. Price money can only be paid if we have the horse owner‘s or the rider’s full address and bank account infor-mation, see entry form. The Bank information, IBAN and SWIFT-BIC must be filled out on the entry form. Price money will be paid after the AMERICANA by the time schedule of the NRHA rules. Price money paid for horses not in German ownership are subject to tax deduction for price money ac-cording to the German tax law. 2l Camper rental: Only participants with a valid participant ticket are permitted to camp on the show grounds. You can rent campers at Firma Goettling, Tel: +49 (0) 8205 1031, Fax: +49 (0) 8205 6799. The price for the camper-card for a camper or horse-truck with a camper space does include an electric hook-up. Please bring your extension cord to connect your camper or horse-truck to a connection box. Per camper 3 KW are included. If you need more than 3 KW you can request

that on the entry form, additional charges will occur.2m Arrangement of hotel accommodation: Regio Augsburg Tourismus GmbH, Tel: +49 (0)821 50 20 731 or +49 (0)821 50 20 70 / Fax: +49 (0)821 50 20 741; Email: [email protected]. 2n Authority: Every participant obligates him/herself that he/she will accept the regulations of the show management. The organizer has the domestic authority on the show grounds reserves the right to expel the participants from the AME-RICANA and the AMERICANA show grounds. Participants, wearing sponsor‘s equipment, e.g. jackets or blankets, is ob-ligated to keep advertisements or logos and slogans visible on the entry number. Disregarding these rules will lead to disqualification and price money will not be paid.2o Subject to modification: Changes of any show rules are possible by the AMERICANA show management or the AFAG fair company prior or even during the show if necessary.

tickets for participants and tickets for the evening shows & events3a tickets for participants: Each rider will receive one par-ticipant tickets for him-/herself and one additional for each horse that he/she enters into the competition. For example: If a rider enters three horses, he/she will get four participant tickets. The participant tickets are bound to appointed per-sons and are to be carried during the whole show. With the participant tickets you can enter the AMERICANA show grounds, fair and show, but not the AMERICANA evening shows on Friday, Saturday or the Wednesday and Thursday evening event. the entry to the evening shows and events is regulated in the next paragraph. If a participant ticket will be handed on to another person, it will lead to an eliminati-on and possible disqualification without any refund of entry or additional fees. This also includes services that have been already paid for, even if they have not been made use of. A lost participant ticket will not be replaced free of charge! You can purchase an additional ticket for € 45.00 at the show office.3b Cards for the evening shows: Friday 8. + Saturday. 9., September:Every rider, independently how many horses he/she enters into a competition, receives one (1) ticket for free for both evening shows, on Friday September, 8. and Saturday, Sep-tember, 9., if he/she enters a class or classes for a minimum of € 100 entry fees. Youth riders have to show at least in two Youth classes or one Youth class plus another class. Every owner of a horse taking part in a class, of which the final is part of these evening shows, receives one free ticket for that evening show. The evening show tickets for participants are located on the participant grandstand, which are at the end of the show arena.3c Cards for the evening event on Wednesday the 6th and thursday, the 7th of September: The riders will not receive a ticket for the Pat Parelli Live event on Wednesday the 6th of September. Regular tickets can be ordered online or at the tickets discounter. For the ERCHA Cow Horse Nations Cup on Thursday the 7th, the Tickets can be purchased at the Show Office and Riders will receive the tickets for a discounted price of € 10,00 if the ticket for the evening show on Friday is presented.

bought at the show office/ticket discounter in Augsburg. Ri-ders that participate in the Nations Cup are eligible to recei-ve one ticket for Thursday night. Owners of horses that are shown on Thursday night are also eligible to one ticket.3d Evening show tickets can be ordered on www.americana.de –tickets or via phone by calling the hotline number +49 (0)1806 – 999 00000 (€ 0,20 / minute from German Land-lines), Mo - Fr 9:00am - 10:00pm & Sa, So + holiday from 9:00am - 8:00pm. Additional tickets may be available at the box office.3e Payments: It is possible to pay with a EC-Card (Maestro) or with credit card. If fees are paid with EC-Card (Maestro), fees of 0,95% will be charged. If fees are paid by credit card, fees of 2,75% will be charged.

A – ALL-AROuND and YOutH Classes

4a Conducting and judging of classes AC20 AC40, AC70, AC710, as well as the World Cup Classes WtrO and WRrO the AQHA USA rule book 2017 is the valid legal basis to carry out and judge this classes with the following exceptions:

(a) Every rider can show up to three horses of his/her choice in every class.

(b) Trail obstacles can be setup differently to the AQHA rule, i.e. the number of obstacles and the way of setting up obst-acles can differ.

(c) The Classes AC20, AC70 as well as the World Cup Classes WTrO and WrrO are Open classes, i.e. open to Youth, Open and Non-Pro riders. Youth, Open & Non-Pro riders are also allowed to show horses that are not registered in their name and/or are in other persons’ ownership.4b Conducting and judging of the class AC01 the rulebook NRHA USA 2017 is the valid legal basis to carry out and jud-ge this class.4c Horses in the Class AC40 (Superhorse) have to be 5 years or older. 4d the class AC01 is not NRHA USA approved, but will be judged according to the NRHA USA 2017 rulebook. For the class AC01 NRHA patterns will be used and youth riders can also show 3 - 5 year old horses, also in the snaffle bit.4e Conducting and judging of the Pleasure-classes WPlO, AC70 und AC71 will be conducted and judged according to the AQHA rule book USA 2017.4f the judging of the classes AC40 and AC50 will be judged according to the EWU rulebook 2017.4g Dogs of the horse & dog trail class AC40 must have an EU - pet passport/health certificate + Chip and a valid anti-ra-bies inoculation. For entering the class, a copy of the pet pas-sport must be send to the show office beside all other forms. For dogs from outside the EU special rules apply. Therefore, please contact the show management team.4h Final-qualification: If a class has less than 15 entries, the show management can cancel the finals. If there are too many entries for a class without a Go-round, the show management can ask for a go round. Out of this Go-round the best ten entries will then qualify for the finals. In classes AC01, AC02, AC03, AC20, AC40, AC50, AC70, AC71 WTrO, WPlO, WRrO, WcuO and WCuN the best ten entries of the go-round will go through to the finals. Example: If there is a tie on the 9th place with two riders, the rider with the next lo-west score will not go through to the finals, because through the tie 10 horses are already qualified for the finals.

If a class without a go-round has to many entries, the show management can decide that a go-round will take place. Out of the go-round the best ten will move to the finales. For the classes AC01, AC02, AC03, AC20, AC40, AC50, AC70, AC71 as well as for the World Cup Classes Klassen WTrO, WRrO, WPlO WCuO, WcuN applies the following: If there are less than 15 entries in these classes the show management can decided to combine the go-round and finale.4i Pay out of price money: The price money in classes AC01, AC02, AC03, AC20, AC40, AC50, AC70, AC71, AC80, AC81, AC82, WPlO, WTrO and WRrO will be given to the best 10 par-ticipant according to the following rule: 30% - 20% - 13% - 10% - 7% - 6% - 5% - 4% - 3% - 2%. Show retainage is 50% of the entry fee, less 19% VAT. For the youth classes AC01,AC02 and AC03 the show retainage is 100%, less the 19% VAT and office charge/trophy fee.4j For all classes: Copy of the horse‘s registration papers and a copy of the HORSE PASSPORt of the nominated horse, a copy of Non-Pro license for all Non-Pro classes. Any Non-Pro Card, AQHA, APHA, NRHA, NCHA, NRCHA or EWU is OK.

B – REINING Classes

5a NRHA classes NR11, NR12, NR21, NR22, NR24, NR25, NR30, NR31, NR50, NR51, NR53, WRnO und WRnN: Copy of the horse‘s registration papers and a copy of the NR-HA-USA competition license of the nominated horse, copy of the NRHA-USA membership card of the rider and owner of the horse. Not necessary, even for Germans, is to be a member of the NRHA-Germany.5b Futurity Klassen: The classes NR50, NR53 & can be shown one or two handed in a snaffle bit or in the bit. Horses in the class. NR51 have to be shown one handed in the Bit.5c Youth Reining: Class AC01 is not NRHA USA approved but will be judged according to the NRHA USA 2017 rule-book. For the class AC01 NRHA patterns will be used and youth riders can show 3- 5 year old horses also in the snaffle bit.5d NRHA Final-Qualification: Qualification for the finals in NRHA approved classes will be determined according to NRHA USA rule book 2017. The classes NR21 & NR24 Inter-mediate Open and Non-Pro has only one final run (no Go-Round) and will be held class-in-class with the Go-Round of the Open resp. the Non-Pro classes WRnO and WRnN.

Riders, who get qualified for the finals of the Reining class WRnO Bronze Trophy Reining Open in the Friday evening show, will start in the following order: The one with the lo-west score of the Go-Round will start at first; the one with the highest score will be the last starter in the finals. Starters with more than 1 horse in the finals, will be stretched accor-dingly to the NRHA rulebook.5e NRHA price money: The total entry fees of the NRHA USA approved classes according to the “classes and entry fees” information includes the Judge fee. The price money in the NRHA uSA approved classes NR11, NR12, NR21, NR22, NR24, NR25, NR30, NR31, NR50, NR51 and NR53 will be paid out according to the Rulebook of the NRHA USA 2017, less 19% VAt.5f NRHA accompanying documents for the NRHA classes NR11, NR12, NR20, NR21, NR22, NR23, NR24 & NR25, NR30 & NR31, NR50, NR51, NR53, WRnO and WRnN: Copy of the horse‘s registration papers and a copy of the NRHA-USA competition license of the nominated horse, copy of the NRHA-USA membership card of the rider and owner of the

horse. 5g NRHA Non-Pro Declaration: To enter the Non-Pro classes NR12, NR24, NR25, NR31, NR53 und WRnN the rider must have a valid NRHA Non-Pro card. It is recommended to apply for the Non-Pro card prior to the AMERICANA. Forms for NRHA membership, Non-Pro declaration and competition license can be downloaded from the NRHA website www.nrha.com under „NRHA“ - Forms & Documents“. 5h Deadline for missing forms: Missing forms can still be issued during the AMERICANA at the show office, but only if the NRHA representative is informed at least 24 hours before the class AND on a working day (Monday to Friday). 5i Fees for doping tests: According to the NRHA rulebook 2017, we will take one (1) doping test for every group of twenty horses entered into a Reining class. We will charge a € 25.00 doping test fee for every horse entered in a reining class, no matter if the horse will be tested or not. The only exception is the Youth Reining class AC01.

C – CUTTING Classes

6a Master Cutting Classes AC80 & AC81: will be judged ac-cording to the rule book of the NCHA USA 2017.

The classes are not NCHA USA approved and open to Youth, Open, and Non-Pro riders. Each rider can show up to three (3) horses owned by any third party. The class AC81 is not eligible for Open riders. Both classes have only one run and no separate (working) final.6b NCHA approved World Cup Cutting classes WCuO & WCuN: will be conducted and judged according to the rule book of the NCHA USA 2017. Both classes consist of a NCHA approved show part and an additional not NCHA approved show part. In the open class WCuO each rider can show up to two (2) horses. In the Non-Pro class WCuN each rider can show one (1) horse. The ownership of the horse needs to comply with the NCHA USA rulebook 2017. Booth classes are hold with one (1) Go-Round and one (1) working final.6c Fresh cattle: For the Go-Round of the classes WCuO & WCuN and for the classes AC80 & AC81 we will provide 2.3 fresh cattle per entry. For the working final of the classes WCuO & WCuN we will provide 2.5 fresh cattle per entry. 6d Qualification for working final: In NCHA approved classes WCuO & WCuN the horses with the best ten scores (incl. ties) will qualify for the working final. 6e Price money payout: Price money in the classes WCuO & WCuN, AC80 and AC81 will be distributed according to the payout schedule of the NCHA USA 2017 rulebook. In the classes WCuO & WCuN 50% of the price money will be paid out in the Go-Round and 50% in the finals. In the Finals, the same number of riders will receive price money as in the Go-round: Example: If we have 21-25 entries, we will pay six places in the Go-round. In the final we will pay the same (6) number of places.

The entry fee of the NCHA approved show part of WCuO & WCuN will be added by 100% to the price money, less 19% VAT (100% payout). The entry fee of the not NCHA approved show part will be added by 30% to the price money (30% payout), less 19% VAT. The entry fee of the AMERICANA Cut-ting Classes AC80 und AC81 (no NCHA approved classes) will be added by 50% to the price money, less 19% VAT.

The price money in the not NCHA approved classes AC80 and AC81, will be given to the best 10 participants according to the following rule: 30% - 20% - 13% - 10% - 7% - 6% - 5%

- 4% - 3% - 2%. Show retainage is 50% of the entry fee, less 19% VAT.

The payout of the class AC03 is 100% of the entry fee (less VAT, office charge and judge fee).

6f Accompanying documents for the NCHA USA approved classes WCuO & WCuN: Copy of the horse‘s registration pa-pers and a copy of a valid membership card of the NCHA USA. To enter Non-Pro class WCuN the rider must have a valid NCHA USA Non-Pro card. The ownership of the horse must comply with the NCHA USA 2017 rule book. Applica-tion forms for NCHA USA membership and Non-Pro status can be downloaded from the NCHA USA website www.nchacutting.com under „Applications“.

D – COW HORSE Classes

7a Cow Horse classes RC90, RC91, RC92, RC93, RC94, WRcO, WRcN, RC22, RC23, RC24, RC25, RC26 and RC27 <nd the Na-tions Cup (Individual/Team): will be conducted and judged according to the ERCHA rulebook 2017. 7b The classes RC23 and RC25 Open Two-Rein: according to the NRCHA rulebook 2017: [Class] is open to any rider and only horses not shown in the bridle down the fence in any judged classes or events with the exception of horse sales, prior to January 1st of the given year. This class is open to horses of any age. These horses can be shown only one year in this class. The rider must use one hand on the reins. Any number of fingers between reins will be permitted. Earnings in this class are counted as bridle earnings for purposes of Merit awards.7c start conditions for the limited classes RC91 und RC93: To enter the limited classes RC91 or RC93 you also have to enter the corresponding not limited classes RC90 or RC92. 7d Qualification for the finals: in ERCHA appr. classes will be determined according to ERCHA/NRCHA USA rule book 2017. The classes RC90, RC91, RC92, RC93, RC22, RC23, RC24, RC25, RC26, RC27, WRcO & WRcN consist only of a Final, i.e. these classes have not a separate go round. There is a go-round only for the cow work in the classes RC90 and RC92.7e The Pay out of price money: of all ERCHA classes are ac-cording to the ERCHA/NRCHA-USA 2017, less 19% VAT.7f Accompanying documents for the ERCHA approved classes: to enter these all ERCHA classes the rider has to be a member of the ERCHA and NRCHA. All classes will be ERCHA and NRCHA approved. You can apply for an ERCHA and NRCHA membership at the AMERICANA. Be there at least one work-day before the class starts. A copy of the ERCHA and NRCHA membership card and for Non-Pro clas-ses the Non Pro card is necessary.
