Andrew Stark’s bio Andrew Stark is the Managing Director of Flight Centre Travel Group, South Africa’s largest travel company in South Africa, boasting R5-billion in travel sales. The group has operations in New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, India, United Arab Emirates, China and Australia, where the company is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. Andrew first joined Flight Centre South Africa as a new business development manager in 2000 and worked his way up through the organisation, locally and abroad. He has held a number of executive roles within the group, including GM Product and Marketing, GM Product (New Zealand), GM Corporate and GM Retail before being appointed MD in 2015. Andrew is a highly driven individual who thrives on incentives and goal-setting. He lives for a challenge, and gets an enormous amount of satisfaction from taking on under-performing projects and turning themaround. His “anything is possible” approach impacts on the achievements of his 1,200 staff members working with him. Entrepreneurialism is in Andrew’s DNA, making him the perfect leader for a company that recognises, rewards and thrives on individual entrepreneurial ability.
