ABS-Dickkante (ABS = Acrylnitrit-Butadien-Styrol) – ABS-Dickkanten sind 1,2 bis 4 mm stark. Durch Aufbringendieser Dickkante können Rundungen der Kanten mit Radienvon 2 – 4 mm erzielt werden.

„Clou“ – Das Ab- und Überlaufsystem von Geberit ohnesichtbare Überlauföffnung wird bei Mineralguss-Wasch-tischen mitgeliefert. Ein in zwei parallele Kammern auf-geteiltes Kunststoffrohr liegt, versteckt hinter dem Becken,knapp unterhalb der Oberkante des möglichen Wasser-spiegels. Wird der maximale Wasserstand im Becken er-reicht, fließt das überlaufende Wasser durch die zweiteRohrkammer ab.

Furnier und Furnierkante – Als Furnier bezeichnet man0,5 – 2,5 mm dicke Blätter aus Holz, die durch verschie-dene Schneideverfahren hergestellt werden. FurnierteMöbel werden an den Kanten ausschließlich mit Furnier-oder Massivholzkanten beschichtet. Verwendet werdenhierfür Normalfurnierkanten in einer Stärke von 0,6 mmoder Furnierkanten bis zu 3 mm, je nach Radius der Front.Die Furnierkanten werden gemeinsam mit der furniertenFläche oberflächenbehandelt, d. h. geschliffen, gebeizt,lasiert und lackiert.

Gehrung – Als Gehrung bezeichnet man die Eckverbin-dung zweier in einem Winkel aufeinander stoßende Werk-teile. Der Vorteil der Gehrung liegt in der Vergrößerungder Kontakt- bzw. Verbindungsfläche. Dadurch erhöht sichdie Stabilität des Werkstücks. Außerdem fällt die Stoßfugebeider Werkteile auf eine Kante und tritt dadurch weni-ger in Erscheinung.

Gütezeichen M – burgbad Badmöbel sind mit dem Güte-zeichen Möbel e. V. ausgezeichnet. Die Gütegemein-schaft Möbel ist ein Zusammenschluss von Möbelher-stellern und Zulieferfirmen, deren Produkte von einem neu-tralen Prüfinstitut (Landesgewerbeanstalt) getestet werden.

HPL-Platte (high pressure laminate) – Die HPL-Platte,häufig als Resopal® bezeichnet, besteht aus einem Phenol-harzkern von 0,6 bis 1 mm Dicke. Dieser Kern ist mit einbis zwei Melaminharzlaminaten beschichtet. Durch ein zu-sätzliches Overlay wird bei dieser Platte die größtmöglicheAbriebfestigkeit erzielt. HPL wird vorwiegend für Ab-deckplatten und Waschtische, aber auch für hochwertigeFronten eingesetzt.

Keramik – Keramik wird aus den hochwertigen Porzellan-rohstoffen Kaolin, Ton, Feldspat und Quarz industriellgefertigt. Bei Brenntemperaturen von 1250°C bildet derkeramische Scherben mit der Glasur eine feste Verbin-dung, das dem Produkt eine hohe mechanische Festigkeitund eine geschlossene Glasoberfläche verleiht.

Massivholz, Massivholzkanten – Massivholz ist die edelsteund teuerste Variante im Möbelbau. Massivholzkanten wer-den z. T. auch bei furnierten Möbeln eingesetzt.

MDF-Platte (medium density fiberboard) – Die MDF-Plattebesteht aus Holzfasern, die auf mechanischem und chemi-schem Weg hergestellt werden. Die feine Oberfläche lässtsich ideal weiterverarbeiten. Die Kante kann profiliert undlackiert werden.

Melamin-Platte – Melaminplatten sind Spanplatten, diemit einem Melaminpapier (80 bis 140g melaminharz-getränkt) beschichtet sind. Die Beschichtung ist durch dieMelamintränkung, hohem Druck und Hitze unlösbar mit derSpanplatte verbunden. Die Oberflächenstruktur (matt, glän-zend, Porenstruktur, Perlstruktur usw.) wird durch die Artder Pressbleche bestimmt. Die Farbgebung wird durch dieBedruckung bestimmt.

Melaminkante – Eine Melaminkante ist ca. 0,4 mm dickund wird farb- und strukturgleich mit der Fläche verarbeitet.Die Melaminkante wird an der Spanplattenkante mit PUR-Schmelzkleber angeleimt und bündig gefräst.

Mineralguss – Das Basismaterial der Mineralgussprodukteist ein Verbundwerkstoff aus Natursteinpulver und Polyester-harz als Bindemittel. Die Oberfläche besteht aus hoch-glänzendem Polyesterlack. Der Vorteil des Materials liegt inder leichten Pflege und der Möglichkeit, evtl. Beschädi-gungen zu reparieren.

PUR-Lack (Polyurethan-Lack) – Als Lackmaterial für Bad-möbelfronten werden heute ausschließlich 2-KomponentenPUR-Lacke eingesetzt. Polyurethanlacke zählen zu denReaktionslacken, das heißt, sie erhärten durch chemischeReaktionen. PUR - Lacke sind besonders hart, abriebfestund beständig gegen Wasser, Öle und Chemikalien. Nachder Anhärtung wird der Werkstoff geschliffen. Die Durch-härtung erfolgt während dieser Weiterbearbeitung.

Solitaire-Programm –Das Solitaire Programm von burgbadist die Premium Linie für eine besonders hochwertige Bade-zimmereinrichtung. Badmöbel aus diesem Programm ver-binden Form und Funktion auf allerhöchstem Niveau. DieQualität der Werkstoffe, die Präzision bei der Verarbeitungund der Veredelung sowie das ästhetisch herausragendeDesign machen Solitaire zu einem Highlight in jedem Bad.

Spanplatte (E1) – Spanplatten stellen das wichtigste Basis-material der modernen Möbelfertigung dar. Für die Hers-tellung der Spanplatten werden keine Abfälle, sondernausschließlich speziell zerspantes Naturholz, vorwiegendFichten-, Kiefer- und Buchenhölzer, verarbeitet. Spanplattenwerden nach Emissionsklassen E1, E2 und E3 eingeteilt.Die Einstufung der Platten hängt von deren Formaldehyd-Emission ab. Bei der E1-Platte darf die Formaldehyd-Ausdünstung maximal 0,1mg/m3 betragen. Die E1-Span-platte ist mit dieser Emissionsklasse gesundheitlich unbe-denklich.

Systemprogramm – Ein multifunktionales Badmöbelpro-gramm, bestehend aus den 4 Linien aqua, borda, echo unddiago. Die Typenstruktur ist bei allen Linien identisch, derUnterschied findet sich in den Fronten und Profilen und inden unterschiedlichen Preisgruppen. Das Systemprogrammist ein sehr preisbewusstes, aber qualitativ niveauvollesAngebot.

Thermoformfront (Tiefziehen) – Als Trägermaterial vonThermoformfronten werden MDF-Platten verarbeitet. DieTrägerplatte wird zuerst exakt auf Format gefräst und ring-sum profiliert. Auch Flächenprofilierungen sind möglich. Imsogenannten Membranpressverfahren werden die drei-dimensional profilierten Werkstücke dann mit thermoplas-tischen Folien unter Einsatz eines Klebers und Einwirkungvon Druck, Wärme und Vakuum beschichtet. Durch diesesVerfahren ist eine vollständige Beschichtung über die Ober-fläche und alle vier Schmalseiten der Front möglich.

System Programme – A multifunctional bathroom furnitureprogramme consisting of the 4 series: aqua, borda, echoand diago. The type structure of all four series is identical;the difference is found in the fronts and profiles and inthe various price groups. The System Programme is avery affordable as well as a sophisticated, high-qualityrange.

Thermoform front (Thermoforming) – MDFs are usedas the backing material for thermoform fronts. Thebacking material is first milled exactly to the format andcontoured all the way around. Contouring the surfaces isalso possible. In the so-called membrane pressing procedure,the three-dimensional components are contoured, thencoated with a thermoplastic foil using an adhesive andpressure, heat and vacuum techniques are also applied.During this process, it is possible to completely coat theentire surface and all four narrow sides of the front.

Veneer and veneer edges – Veneer is referred to as 0.5 –2.5 mm thick layers of wood which can be producedusing various slicing techniques. Furniture with wood veneersare covered on the edges either only with veneer or withsolid wood edges. Normal veneer edges are used for thiswith a thickness of 0.6 mm or veneer edges with up to 3 mmthickness according to the radius of the front. The veneeredges are surface-treated along with the veneer surface,that is to say polished, stained, glazed and lacquered.

MDF (medium density fiberboard) – The medium densityfibreboard (MDF) is made of wood fibres that are producedin a mechanical and chemical manner. The particularlyfine surface of the MDF is perfect for secondary processing.The edges can be contoured and lacquered.

Melamine edging – Melamine edging is approx. 0.4 mmthick and is produced with the same colour and structureas the surface. The melamine edging is fixed to the edgeof the particle board with PUR hot melt adhesive andmilled level to flush.

Melamine panels – Melamine panels are particle boardsthat are treated with a melamine paper (impregnated with80 to 140g of melamine resin). The lamination has aninsoluble bond with the particle board by using a melaminecoating, high pressure and heat. The surface structure(matte, glossy, porous structure, pearl structure etc.) isdetermined by the type of pressing plates. The colouringis determined by printing.

Mineral cast – The basic material of mineral cast productsis a composite material made of natural stone powderand polyester resin as a adhesive agent. The surfaceconsists of a high-gloss polyester lacquer. The advantageof this material is that it is easy to clean and if damageshould occur, it can be repaired.

Mitre cut – The corner connection of two componentsthat are cut at an angle and then joined is known as amitre cut. The advantage of a mitre cut is the greatercontact or connection surface. This increases the stabilityof the components. Furthermore, the butt joints of bothpieces meet at an edge and is therefore less noticeable.

Particle board (E1) – Particle boards are among the mostimportant basic materials of modern furniture manufacturing.To produce particle boards, pieces of waste are not used;only specially chipped natural wood, primarily spruce,pine and beech are processed.

Particle boards are divided into emission categories E1,E2 and E3. The classification of the boards depends ontheir formaldehyde emissions. For the E1 particle board,the formaldehyde evaporation may have a maximum0.1mg/m3. The E1 particle board with this emission categorydoes not pose a health hazard.

PUR lacquer (Polyurethane lacquer) – Today only 2-com-ponent PUR lacquers are used to paint bathroom furniturefronts. Polyurethane lacquers are among the reaction lacquers;

ABS thick edges (ABS = Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)– ABS thick edges are 1, 2 or 4 mm thick. By applyingthese thick edges, rounding of the edges with radii from2 - 4 mm can be achieved.

Ceramics – are industrially produced of high-quality porcelainraw materials: kaolin, clay, feldspar and quartz. Whenfiring temperatures reach approximately 1,250°C, the ceramicbody creates a lasting compound with the glaze that givesthe product a high mechanical consistency and a cohesiveglass surface.

“Clou” – The drainage and overflow system by Geberitwithout a visible overflow opening is supplied with themineral cast washbasins with vanity tops. A plastic tubedivided in two parallel chambers is hidden behind thewashbasin, directly under the top edge of the possiblewater level. If the maximum water level in the washbasinis reached, the overflowing water drains out through thetwo tube chamber.

HPL panels – (high pressure laminate panels) The HPLpanel is often referred to as Resopal®; is made of a phenolicresin core with a thickness of 0.6 to 1 mm. This core istreated with a one – two melamine resin laminate panels.Adding another overlay increases the maximum abrasionresistance for this panel. HPL is mainly used for coverplates and vanity units, but also for high-quality fronts.

M Seal of Quality – The burgbad bathroom furniture hasbeen awarded with the seal of quality by Möbel e.V.(Registered Association of Furniture Manufacturers). TheGütegemeinschaft Möbel is a federation of furnituremanufacturers and suppliers whose products are testedby an independent testing facility, the Landesgewerbeanstalt(State Trade Agency).

Panneau de particules (E1) – Les panneaux mélaminéssont des panneaux de particules qui sont recouverts de pa-piermélaminé (80 à 140 g, imprégné de résine mélamine).Cerevêtement est fixé sur le panneau de particules parl’effet de l'imprégnation de mélamine, de la pression éle-vée et de la chaleur. La structure de la surface (mate, bril-lante, à pores, perlée, etc.) est définie par le type des tôlesà presser.

Les panneaux de particules se rangent dans diversesclasses d’émission : E1, E2 et E3. Ce classement des pan-neaux dépend de la teneur en formaldéhyde qu’ils possè-dent. Le panneau classé E1 ne doit pas dépasser uneconcentration d’équilibre de formaldéhyde de 0,1mg/m3.Tout panneau rangé dansla classe d’émission E1 ne re-présente aucun danger pour la santé.

Panneaux HPL (stratifié à haute pression) – Le panneauHPL, souvent appelé Resopal®, est composé d’une âme enrésine phénolique de 0,6 à 1 mm d’épaisseur. Cette âme estrecouverte d’un ou de deux stratifiés de résine mélaminée.Un overlay supplémentaire permet d’obtenir une résis-tance maximum àl’usure sur ce panneau. HPL s’utilise prin-cipalement pour les plaques d’habillage et les lavabosmais aussi pour les façades de grande qualité.

Placage et chant en placage – Un placage est un ensem-ble de feuilles de bois de 0,5 à 2,5 mm d’épaisseur quisont débitées en utilisant diverses méthodes. Les borduresdes meubles contreplaqués sont réalisées avec des chantsen placage ou en bois massif. On utilise pour ce faire deschants en placage normaux de 0,6 mm d’épaisseur oudes chants en placage de 3 mm maximum, en fonction durayon de la façade. Les chants en placage sont soumis àun traitement de surface avec les autres éléments contre-plaqués, c’est-à-dire poncés, décapés, couverts d’une lasurepuis vernis.

Bois massif, chants en bois massif – Le bois massif estle matériau le plus cher mais aussi le plus précieux utilisédans la fabrication de meubles. Les chants en bois massifsont également utilisés parfois sur les meubles contre-plaqués.

Céramique – La céramique est fabriquée industrielle-ment à partir des matières premières de grande qualité dela porcelaine,à savoir le kaolin, l’argile, le feldspath et lequartz. À des températures de fusion de 1250°C, la pâtecéramique se solidarise avec l’émail, grâce à quoi le pro-duit possède une résistance mécanique élevée avec unesurface en verre homogène.

Chant épais ABS – (ABS = Acrylonitril-butadiène-styrène)Les chants ABS ont une épaisseur de 1,2 à 4 mm. L’utili-sation de ce chant épais permet d’arrondir les chantsavec des rayons de 2 à 4 mm.

Chant mélaminé – Un chant mélaminé fait environ 0,4 mmd’épaisseur et il est entièrement traité (couleur, structure)avec la surface. Le chant mélaminé est collé sur la borduredupanneau de particules avec de la colle thermofusiblePUR puis fraisé à fleur.

« Clou » – Le système d’évacuation et de trop-plein de Ge-berit sans ouverture de débordement visible est livré avecles lavabos en pierre de synthese. Un tuyau en plastiquedivisé en deux sections parallèles est caché derrière lavasque, juste en-dessous du bord supérieur du niveau del’eau possible. Dès que le niveau maximum dans la vasqueest atteint, le trop-plein d’eau s’écoule par la deuxièmesection du tuyau.

Façade thermoformée (emboutissage) – Des panneauxMDF traités sont utilisés pour servir de support aux façadesthermoformées. Le support est d’abord fraisé au formatexact voulu puis profilé sur le pourtour. Des profilages desurface sont également possibles. Pierre de synthese – Le matériau de base des produits enpierre de synthese est un matériau composite composé depoudre de pierre naturelle et de résine polyester en guisede liant. La sur face est composée d’un vernis polyesterbrillant. Avantages du matériau : un entretien facile et lapossibilité de réparer d’éventuelles dégradations.

Label de qualité M – Les meubles de salle de bains fabri-qués par burgbad portent le label de qualité «Möbel e.V.»La Güte-gemeinschaft Möbel (association pour la défensede la qualité du meuble) regroupe des fabricants de meubleset des fournisseurs dont les produits sont testés par un institutde contrôle neutre (Landesgewerbeanstalt ou Inspection desMétiers du Land).

Laque polyurethane (vernis polyuréthane) – On utiliseaujourd’hui principalement des PUR à 2 composants pourpeindre les façades de meubles de salles de bains. Les po-lyuréthane se rangent parmi les réactifs, c’est-à-dire desqui durcissent suite à des réactions chimiques. Les PURsont particulièrement durs, résistants à l’abrasion, à l’eau,aux huiles et aux produits chimiques. Le matériau estponcé dès qu’il a commencé à durcir. Il durcit complète-ment pendant cette opération.

Onglet – On désigne par onglet l’assemblage de deuxpièces biseautées pour former un angle droit unique.Cette solution a l’avantage de générer une surface decontact et de jointoyage plus grande et donc d’accroîtrela stabilité de la pièce. En outre, cet assemblage réunissantles deux pièces sur un chant, le joint est moins visible.

Panneau MDF (fibres à moyenne densité) – Un panneauMDF est composé de fibres de bois qui sont fabriquées àl’aide de méthodes mécaniques et chimiques. La surfacedélicate se laisse travailler sans aucun problème. Le chantpeut être profilé et vernis.

Panneau mélaminé – Les panneaux de particules sontleprincipal matériau de base utilisé dans la fabricationmoderne de meubles. Les panneaux de particules sontfabriqués nonpas à partir de déchets mais uniquementavec du bois naturel spécialement usiné dans ce but, no-tamment de l’épicéa, dupin et du hêtre.
