PETROMAX
Die Petromax ist die wohl bekanntes-te Starklichtlampe der Welt. Der Name Petromax geht auf den Kommerzienrat Max Graetz zurück, welcher die Lampe bereits Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts in Deutschland entwickelte. Seine Freunde nannten ihn „Petroleum Maxe“, woraus die Abkürzung Petromax hervorging. Am 05.11.1910 wurde der Name gesetzlich geschützt. In den darauffolgenden Jah-ren entwickelte sich die Lampe zum Ver-kaufsschlager schlechthin. Sie wurde in millionenfacher Stückzahl hergestellt und in der ganzen Welt vertrieben.
Der in der Lampe verbaute Glaszylinder wird seit jeher von der Firma Schott her-gestellt. Es handelt sich um einen hoch-hitzefesten Zylinder aus Borosilikat Glas. Auch heute noch zieht die Lampe, wel-che aus über 200 Einzelteilen besteht, die von Hand zusammengesetzt werden, die Menschen in ihren Bann.
Fischerboote beleuchten mit ihrer be-eindruckenden Lichtleistung von 400 Watt ihren nächtlichen Fang und Welten-bummler erzählen sich in ihrem Schein Geschichten über ihre Reisen.
Petromax is the best-known high-pressure light in the world. Its name originates from “Kommerzienrat” (the highest civil hono-rary title in Germany of that time) Max Graetz who invented the lamp at the beginning of the 20th century. His friends used to call him “Petroleum Maxe” for which Petromax is the abbrevia-tion. This name has been protected by patents since November 5th,1910. During the following years, the lamp proved to be in-credibly popular. Millions of it were produced and distributed to all parts of the world. The glass cylinder, which is heat resistant and made of borosilicate glass, has always been produced by the Duran Group (formerly Schott company).
Nowadays people are still fascinated by this lamp, which is handmade of more than 200 individual pieces. Fishing boats il-luminate their catch with its impressive power of up to 400 watts and travellers tell their tales in its light.
Les lampes Petromax sont les lampes à pression les plus connues au monde. La marque Petromax a pour origine le nom du conseiller de commerce Max Graetz qui concevait cette lampe à pétrole au début du vingtième siècle. A cause de sa pas-sion pour les lampes à pétrole, les amis de Max Graetz l’appelaient «Petroleum Maxe» dont la dérivée est Petromax. Dès le 5 Novembre 1910, la marque fut proté-gée par des droits relatifs à la propriété intellectuelle. Lors des années sui-vantes, la lampe se révéla extrêmement populaire. Elle fut produite en plusieurs milliers d‘exemplaires et vendue partout au le monde. Le cylindre de verre qui se trouve au coeur de la lampe résiste à une forte chaleur. Il est constitué de verre de borosili-cate et a toujours été produit par Duran (l‘ancienne entreprise Schott).
Aujourd‘hui comme autrefois, les lampes Petromax fascinent. Plus de 200 compo-sants sont assemblés à la main pour aboutir à la lampe. À cause de leur luminosi-té impressionnante de 400 watts, des pêcheurs se servent des lampes Petromax pour éclairer leurs bateaux. À la lumière des lampes Petromax, des voyageurs et des aventuriers partagent leurs expériences.

HK500 ELEKTRODie bekannte Starklichtlampe ist ebenfalls in einer elektrischen Version für den Innenbereich erhältlich, für den sie eigens konstruiert wurde. Hierzu wurde die Petromax Elektro mit einer E27-Fassung aufgerüstet.
Die Grundkomponenten der elektrischen Lampe sind deckungsgleich mit dem Original, welches mit Petroleum betrieben wird. Durch das mattierte Suprax Glas steht die Lampe der Petroleum betriebenen Version in Anmut und Eleganz in nichts nach, gewährleistet jedoch, dass sich ein stimmungsvolles Licht im Raum verteilt.
Die Lampe ist aus Messing gefertigt. Der Glaszylinder besteht aus hochhitzebeständigem und mattiertem Borosilikatglas. Wahlweise gibt es die Elektroversion als Hänge- oder Tischlampe. Bei ersterer wird das Kabel durch die Haube nach Außen geführt. Sie kann als alternative Hängelampe im Innenraum genutzt und per Lichtschalter im Zimmer erleuchtet werden. Die Tischlampe ist mit einem eleganten Kippschal-ter ausgerüstet, der sich gut in das Gesamtbild der Lampe fügt und eine Bedienung leicht macht. Beide Lampen werden mit einem E27-Leucht-mittel betrieben.

Petromax lamps are also available as electric versions for indoor use. For that purpose, the electric version was developed and an E27 socket was added to the bottom.
The electric Petromax lamp is constructed of the same basic components found in the traditional version using kerosene as fuel. While maintaining grace and elegance of the traditional version, the electric lamp comes with a frosted Suprax glass that ensures a comfortable and soft illumination.
The lamp is made of brass while the glass is heat-resistant borosilicate glass. The electric version is available in two different versions: table or hanging lamp. The cable is inserted through the hood of the lamp. Thus, this model can be used as an alternative ceiling light, which can be turned on and off via a normal light switch. The table lamp can be easily turned on and off by a toggle switch, which harmoniously combines tradition and modernity. Both versions are to be used with an E27 bulb.

La lampe à pression Petromax est aussi disponible en version électrique convenant idéalement à une utilisation intérieure. La lampe dispose d’une douille E27 (Edison 27).
Les composants de base sont les mêmes pour la lampe traditionnelle et la lampe électrique. Grâce à son verre Suprax mat, la lampe électrique possède le même charme que la lampe à pétrole classique et va illuminer votre cuisine, le bureau, ou autres pièces de la maison d‘une lumière agréable et classique.
La lampe, disposant d‘un verre Suprax mat résistant aux hautes températures, est fabriquée en laiton massif. Elle est disponible en deux versions, à savoir la version de table et la version suspendue. A la différence de la lampe de table électrique, la lampe suspension est alimentée par un câble au-dessus du capot. La lampe de table possède un interrupteur à bascule qui n‘altère en aucune façon le charme de la lampe et rend l‘utilisation plus simple. Les versions fonctionnent avec une ampoule E27.

The Petromax HK150 is smaller than the Petromax HK500. However, with its 29 cm (11.4 inches), it is an equally elegant pressure light. Handling and function are identical to the “big sister.“ Because of its low weight and short height, the HK150 fits well into the camping equipment.

Zum Anfeuern des Petromax Atago eignen sich Holzkohle, Holzkohlebriketts und Feuerholz. Ausgehend von seinen vier Grundfunktionen ergeben sich zahlreiche Garmethoden und Zubereitungsvarianten.
In Kombination mit Ihrem Dutch Oven oder Wok wird der Petromax Atago zu einem erstklassigen Ofen und Herd. Stellen Sie dazu einfach den gusseisernen Feuertopf (z. B. den Petromax ft3, ft6 oder ft9) auf die glühenden Briketts im Petromax Atago. Für Pfannen- und Wokgerichte platzieren Sie Ihren Wok oben auf der runden Öffnung des Petromax Atago. Da der Wok oder der Feuertopf vom Atago umgeben wird, ist für eine optimale Hitzeausbeute gesorgt. Um den Petromax Atago ganz klassisch als Grill zu nutzen, legen Sie einfach das im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Grillrost auf den Atago. Extremely robust and with outdoor enthusiasts in mind, the Petromax Atago is an unrivalled all-in-one tool that can be used as a conventional barbecue, a stove, an oven, and a fire pit with charcoal briquettes or firewood. With its 4 basic functions, numerous preparation procedures and cooking methods are possible.
You can use the Petromax Atago in combination with a Dutch oven or a wok . All you have to do is to place the cast iron cookware (e.g. Petromax ft3, ft6 or ft9) on top of the Petromax Atago. Because the wok or the Dutch oven placed on top of the Atago is completely surrounded by steel, the heat yield is very high. Furthermore, the Petromax Atago comes with a grilling grate, which serves to transform it in a conventional barbecue . Without the grilling grate, the Atago serves as a fire pit or as a coffee maker in combination with the Petromax Percolator “Perkomax” .
Thanks to its unique extension-retraction mechanism, the Petromax Atago is ready for use in a blink of an eye. When folded, it has a height of only 15 cm (6 inches), which allows you to save space when you store it after a nice BBQ and a couple of drinks.

Le Petromax Atago est un appareil très pratique utilisable comme barbecue, four, cuisinière ou brasero. L'Atago fonctionne au charbon de bois ou au bois de chauffage. Grâce à sa diversité, il combine plusieurs modes de cuisson, pour vous permettre de réaliser toutes vos envies culinaires.
L’utilisation du Petromax Atago se combine avec un wok , les marmites Petromax (par exemple ft3, ft6 et ft9) ou toute autre marmite de taille similaire. Le wok ou la marmite est entouré de l'Atago ; en conséquence, le degré d'effi cacité est optimal. Pour une utilisation comme barbecue , il suffi t de mettre la grille métallique (qui est également fournie) sur le Petromax Atago. En retirant la grille, vous pouvez préparer un café avec le Percolateur Petromax « Perkomax » ou faire un feu de camp .
Le Petromax Atago est facilement pliable et dépliable en moins d'une seconde. Une fois plié, le Petromax Atago a une hauteur de 15 cm ; il est donc très compact.
