Jansen liefert die Janisol 2 Edelstahl-profile in walzblanker Ausführung 2Bnach EN 10088 oder auf Wunsch mitgeschliffenen Sichtflächen (Korn 220-240 oder 320-400).

Werkstoff 1.4401 (X5CrNiMo17-12-2)

Der Edelstahl 1.4401 gehört zu den aus-tenitischen Stählen. Die austenitischenCrNi-Stähle bieten eine besonders günstige Kombination von Verarbeit-barkeit, mechanischen Eigenschaftenund hoher Korrosionsbeständigkeit.Durch die Chrom-Nickel-Molybdän-Legierung hat der Werkstoff 1.4401 eine gute Beständigkeit gegen Lochfrass, sowie gegen chlorid- und schwefeldioxidhaltige Atmosphären.Dies unterscheidet ihn von den Werk-stoffen 1.4301 / 1.4307 welche keineMolydänlegierung aufweisen.

Beständigkeit

Der Werkstoff 1.4401 (AISI 316) ist auch in chloridhaltiger Atmosphäre beständig und eignet sich daher fürden Einsatz in:

� in Industriegebieten� in Küstennähe

(Salzgehalt in der Luft)� im Hygiene-Bereich� in Strassennähe

(beständig gegen Streusalz)

Matériau 1.4401 (X5CrNiMo17-12-2)

L'acier Inox 1.4401 appartient à la famille des aciers austénitiques. Lesaciers austénitiques CrNi présententune combinaison particulièrement favorable d'aptitude à la mise en œuvre, de propriétés mécaniques et de résistance élevée à la corrosion.Grâce à l'alliage au chrome nickel molybdène, le matériau 1.4401 offreune bonne résistance à la corrosion localisée et aux atmosphères contenantdu chlorure et du dioxyde de soufre.Cela le différencie des matériaux1.4301 / 1.4307 qui ne contiennent pasd'alliage de molybdène.

Résistance

Le matériau 1.4401 (AISI 316) résisteaussi à l'atmosphère contenant duchlorure et convient ainsi à l'utilisationdans:

� dans les zones industrielles� à proximité du littoral

Surface finish

Jansen supplies the Janisol 2 stainlesssteel profiles in bright-rolled 2B according to EN 10088, or in polishedcondition (220-240 or 320-400 grain) if desired.

Material 1.4401 (X5CrNiMo17-12-2)

Stainless steel 1.4401 is an austeniticsteel. Austenitic CrNi steels have a particularly good combination of processibility, mechanical propertiesand a high level of corrosion resistance. The chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy gives material1.4401 good resistance to pitting corrosion as well as to atmospherescontaining chloride and sulphur dioxide. This distinguishes it from materials 1.4301 / 1.4307 that do notcontain a molybdenum alloy.

Resistance

Material 1.4401 (AISI 316) is also resistant to atmospheres containingchloride and is therefore suitable foruse in:

� industrial areas� coastal areas (salty air)� areas with stringent

hygiene requirements� use near roads

(resistance to de-icing salts)

Türen und Glaswände EI30

Mit diesem kompletten Profilsystemeinschliesslich Beschlägen und Zube-hör lassen sich flächenbündige ein-und zweiflügelige Türen, Brandschutz-verglasungen und Türen in Glaswän-den rationell und sicher fertigen. DieBauhöhe beträgt für den Türrahmen,wie auch für den Türflügel 60 mm.

Janisol 2 Edelstahl-Türen sind mit doppelten Anschlagdichtungen inschwer entflammbarer Qualität aus-gerüstet. Beschläge, Schlösser undZubehör werden auf einfache Weise in den Profilhohlraum integriert. DerSchwellenbereich kann mit einer automatischen Senkdichtung, mit einer Auflaufdichtung und Halbrund-schwelle sowie ohne Dichtung ausge-führt werden. Für den Glaseinbau stehen verschiedene Glasfabrikate zur Verfügung.

Das optische Erscheinungsbild derJanisol 2 Edelstahl EI30-Türen ist deckungsgleich mit den Jansen-Economy-Türen und den Janisol-Türen.

Système complet de profilés avec ferrures et accessoires pour portes àun ou deux vantaux à fleur, vitragesfixes et portes dans les cloisons vitrées. La hauteur de construction des cadres et des vantaux est de 60 mm.

Les portes Janisol 2 acier Inox sontdotées de doubles joints de batte-ment de qualité difficilement combu-stible. Les serrures et autres ferrurespeuvent être posées de manière aisée dans le creux des profilés. Lazone du seuil peut être réalisée avecun seuil automatique, avec un joint de contact et un seuil demi-rond, ousans joint. Pour la pose des vitres, diverses marques de verre sontdisponibles.

L’aspect des portes Janisol 2 acier Inox EI30 est pratiquement identiqueaux portes Jansen-Economy et lesportes Janisol.

A complete system of profiled sectionswith fittings and accessories to match,for surface-flush single- and double-leafed doors, fire-proof glazed parti-tions and doors in glazed walls. Thesection height for door frames andleaves is 60 mm.

Janisol 2 stainless steel doors are fitted with double rebate seals that are flame retardant. Locks and otherfittings can be mounted simply andeasily in the hollow part of the sections.The sill may have either an automaticcountersunk joint, a threshold gasketand curved sill, or no seal. Variousproducts of glass are available for glazing.

The appearance of the Janisol 2 stainless steel EI30 doors is practically identical to that of the Jansen-Economy door and the Janisol doors.

Jansen electric strikes

The fully approved Jansen face platesfor the electric strikes (specially for fireand smoke protection) are installed,checked and secured in the workshop.

The electric strike kits are therefore only supplied as a complete unit. Individual face plates are not available.

We can supply additional electric strikes to special order.

Can be switched between the voltagerange 12 / 24 V by a slide switch.

The access leaf determines the

opening direction

eE = Permanent electrical release:these openers are supplied with constant current and areoperated by means of DCvoltage, using a timer switchor a manual switch.Use of the permanent electrical release is not permissible in all cases. Please observe any country-specific regulations.

RR = Response contact as a potential-free make and break contact. Operated using a handle on the latch.

Die speziellen, geprüften und zuge-lassenen Jansen-System-Stulpblecheder Elektro-Türöffner (speziell fürBrand- und Rauchschutz) werden imWerk montiert, einjustiert, kontrolliertund gesichert.

Die Elektro-Türöffner-Garnituren sinddeshalb nur als Einheit lieferbar. LoseStulpbleche werden nicht geliefert.

Über Sonderbestellung liefern wir unsere Elektro-Türöffner in weiterenAusführungen.

Die Umschaltung zwischen dem Spannungsbereich 12 / 24 V erfolgtdurch einen Schiebeschalter.

Der Gangflügel bestimmt die

DIN-Richtung

eE = Elektrische Dauerentriegelung:Diese Türöffner sind dauer-stromfest und werden mit Gleichspannung, meist über Zeitschaltuhr oder Schalter, betrieben. Die Dauerstromentriegelung ist nicht überall zulässig. Bitte beachten Sie die länderspezifischen Vorschriften.

RR = Rückmeldekontakt als potentialfreier Wechselkontakt. Wird über einen Schieber von der Schlossfalle betätigt.

Les têtières spéciales du système Jansen, contrôlées et homologuéespour les gâches électriques (spécialespour la protection pare-feu et pare-fumée) sont montées, ajustées, con-trôlées et protégées en usine.

C’est la raison pour laquelle les garni-tures des gâches électriques ne sontdisponibles qu’en bloc. Les têtières isolées ne sont pas fournies.

Dans le cadre d’une commande spé-ciale, nous fournissons nos gâchesélectriques dans d’autres versions.

La commutation entre les tensions 12 / 24 V s'effectue par un interrupteurcoulissant.

Le vantail de service détermine le

sens DIN

eE = Déverrouillage électrique permanent: Ces gâches résistent au courant permanent et sont actionnées à courant continu, la plupart du temps via par une minuterie ou un commutateur.Le déverrouillage du courant permanent n'est pas autorisé partout. Korrosionsbeständigkeit von Edelstahl

Durch die Zulegierung von Chrom wirdauf der Stahloberfläche eine dünnepassive Oberflächendeckschicht ausChromoxygen erreicht. Dies bedeutet,dass der Stahl nicht mit den Luftbe-standteilen reagiert, er ist passiv. Da-durch sind Edelstähle gegen zahlreicheaggressive Medien beständig und be-dürfen keines weiteren Oberflächen-schutzes.Wird diese Passivschicht mechanischzerstört, so bildet sich diese erneut, sofern Sauerstoff (Luft) oder andereoxydierende Medien vorhanden sind.Wird diese Schutzschicht jedoch unterEinwirkung aggressiver Medien zer-stört, so beginnt der Korrosionsvor-gang.

Interkristalline Korrosion

Interkristalline Korrosion entsteht beiWärmebehandlungen und Schweiss-vorgängen (In der Nähe der Schweiss-naht = Wärmeeinflusszone).Durch die Ausscheidung der Chrom-carbide kommt es in der Umgebung zueiner Verarmung des für die Korrosi-onsbeständigkeit wichtigen Elementes«Chrom».

Résistance à la corrosion de l’acier

inoxydable

Grâce à l’ajout de chrome dans l’allia-ge, on obtient une mince couche su-perficielle passive de chromoxygènesur la surface de l’acier. Cela signifieque l’acier ne réagit pas avec les com-posants de l’air: il est passif. Les aciersinoxydables sont ainsi résistants cont-re de nombreux fluides agressifs et nerequièrent aucune protection de surfa-ce supplémentaire.Si la couche passive est mécanique-ment détruite, celle-ci se reconstituedès que l’oxygène (air) ou d’autres fluides oxydants sont présents. La corrosion intercristalline apparaîtlors des traitements thermiques et desopérations de soudage (à proximité ducordon de soudure = zone d’influencethermique).En raison du rejet de carbure de chrome, l’environnement est soumis à un appauvrissement de l’élément«chrome» important pour la résistanceà la corrosion.

Corrosion resistance of stainless steel

The alloying of chromium cause a thin,passive surface layer of chromium oxide to form on the surface of thesteel. This means that the steel doesnot react with any air constituents, i.e. the steel is passive. This propertymakes stainless steels resistant to numerous aggressive media and negates the need for any further surface protection.If this layer is destroyed mechanically,it will simply reform, provided thatoxygen (air) or other oxidative mediaare present. If this protective layer is nevertheless destroyed by the exposure to aggressive media, thenthe corrosion process will begin.

Intercrystalline corrosion

Intercrystalline corrosion takes placeduring heat treatments and welding.(In the vicinity of the weld seam = heat-affected zone.)The deposition of chromium carbideleads to a depletion of chromium – an element important for corrosion resistance – in this area.

Fremdrost

Unter Fremdrost versteht man Ablage-rungen von Rostteilchen, die nicht ander betreffenden Stelle entstandensind, sondern von irgendwo andershinzugetragen wurden. Fremdrost trittbevorzugt auf bei nichtgetrennter Lagerung und Verarbeitung von un-legiertem Stahl und Edelstahl. Aberauch Werkzeugabrieb kann zu Frem-drost führen. Durch Ablagerungen vonFremdrost können die Bedingungenfür Spaltkorrosion erfüllt sein.

Zu beachten:� Verarbeitung und Lagerung von

Edelstahl und unlegiertem Stahl in getrennten Räumen.

� Werkzeuge nur für Edelstahl verwenden (keine Berührung mit unlegiertem Stahl).

Kontaktkorrosion

Kontaktkorrosion ist eine Korrosions-art, welche auftreten kann, wenn sichzwei unterschiedliche metallischeWerkstoffe in Anwesenheit eines flüssi-gen Mediums, das als Elektrolyt wirkt,in Kontakt befinden. Der weniger edleWerkstoff (Anode) wird an der Kontakt-stelle angegriffen und geht in Lösung.Der edlere Werkstoff (Kathode) wirdnicht angegriffen. Als Elektrolyt kom-men alle leitenden Flüssigkeiten in Frage, wobei schon ein kondensierterFlüssigkeitsfilm den Korrosionsangriffauslösen kann.Kontaktkorrosion ist besonders dannkritisch, wenn die Oberfläche des edleren Werkstoffes gross ist im Verhältnis zur Oberfläche des wenigeredleren Werkstoffes. Typisches Bei-spiel: Edelstahl Rostfrei-Schrauben an Aluminium-Teilen vermeiden Kontaktkorrosion.

Rouille erratique

On entend par rouille erratique lesdépôts de particules de rouille qui nesont pas apparus sur l’endroit con-cerné, mais ont été «importés» d’ail-leurs. La rouille erratique apparaît depréférence en cas de stockage et demise en œuvre non séparés d’aciernon allié et d’acier inoxydable. Les abrasions d’outils aussi peuvent pro-voquer l’apparition de rouille erratique.Les dépôts de rouille erratique peuventremplir les conditions d’apparition decorrosion en fissures.

à observer: � mise en œuvre et stockage d’acier

inoxydable et d’acier non allié dansdes locaux séparés,

� utiliser des outils uniquement pourl’acier inoxydable (aucun contact avec de l’acier non allié).

Corrosion par contact

La corrosion par contact est un type decorrosion pouvant apparaître lorsquedeux matériaux métalliques différentsse trouvent en contact en présenced’un fluide liquide agissant commeélectrolyte. Le matériau moins noble(anode) est attaqué au point de contactet se dissout. Le matériau plus noble(cathode) n’est pas attaqué. Tous les liquides conducteurs peuvent agircomme de l’électrolyte, un film de liquide condensé pouvant suffire àdéclencher l’attaque de corrosion. La corrosion par contact est particu-lièrement critique lorsque la surface du matériau plus noble est importanteen comparaison avec la surface dumatériau moins noble. Exemple typique: des vis en acier inoxydablesur des pièces en aluminium évitent la corrosion par contact.

Extraneous rust

Extraneous rust is taken to mean any deposits of rust particles that have not originated at the affected area, but have been transported therefrom somewhere else. Extraneous rust tends to occur when plain steeland stainless steel are not stored and processed separately. Even finesfrom tools can lead to extraneous rust. Deposits of extraneous rust can lead to conditions conducive to gap corrosion.

Take note:� Process and store stainless and

plain steel in separate areas.� Only use tools for stainless steel

(no contact with plain steel).

Contact corrosion

Contact corrosion is a type of corrosi-on that can occur when two differentmetallic materials come into contactwith one another in the present of a liquid medium that acts as an electrolyte. The less inert material (anode) is attacked at the point ofcontact and goes into solution. Themore inert material (cathode) is notattacked. All conductive liquids can be considered as electrolytes; i.e. evena condensed film of liquid can lead toa corrosion attack.Contact corrosion becomes particularlycritical if the surface area of the moreinert material is large in comparisonwith the less inert material. A typicalexample: Stainless stainless steel screws in aluminium parts avoidcontact corrosion.

Stockage

Storage

All system components made fromstainless steel must be stored under dry conditions and away from othersteel sections. Otherwise, the risk of extraneous rust formation will exist on the surface of the stainless steel.When storing stainless steel sections,please ensure that all movement of the sections is carried out carefully. We recommend the use of timber orplastic spacers and supports for the avoidance of scratches, indentationsand even deformations. The removal of sections from storage centres should only take place by lifting (do not pull out along the length of the section).

Lagerung

Sämtliche Systemkomponenten in Edelstahl müssen von Stahlprofilen getrennt und trocken gelagert werden.Ansonsten besteht die Gefahr vonFremdrost-Bildung auf den Edelstahl-Oberflächen. Bei der Lagerung der Edelstahl-Profile ist unbedingt daraufzu achten, dass die Einlagerung der Profile sorgfältig erfolgt. Débitage

Pour le débitage de profilés en acier inoxydable, utiliser des scies circulai-res en acier à coupe rapide (HSS) àdents fines. Afin d’éviter la formationde corrosion sur l’acier inoxydable, nepas les utiliser pour de l’acier non allié.

Veiller particulièrement aux vitesses de coupe, à l’avance et à un bon re-froidissement. Le liquide d’émulsionne doit contenir aucun composant ferritique (par exemple sciure etc.).

Veiller en outre à ce que les pointsd’appui soient propres et que les profilés soient allongés bien à plat.Les profilés en acier inoxydable Janisol sont découpés avec l’écran en alu en place. Afin d’éviter le glissement de l’écran en alu, celui-ciest préalablement fixé (par exemple avec une pince-étau).

Les profilés ne doivent pas êtreécrasés pendant le débitage. C’est laraison pour laquelle nous recomman-dons de procéder à la régulation à la

main dans les cas de la pression pneumatique ou hydraulique. Il est recommandé, lors du serrage des profilés, d’utiliser des supports

Cutting

Fine-toothed blades made from high-speed steel (HSS) must be used to cutstainless steel profiles. To prevent corrosion on stainless steel, they mustnot be used for cutting plain steel.

Particular attention must be paid tocutting speeds, feed rate and goodcooling. The emulsion liquid must notcontain any ferritic constituents (e.g. swarf, etc.).

Furthermore, care must be taken to ensure that bearing surfaces are cleanand the profiles lie flat. Janisol stainless steel profiles are cut with aninserted aluminium diaphragm. This istemporarily fixed in position (e.g. witha clamp) to prevent it from falling out.

The profiles must not be crushed during cutting. We there-fore recom-mend that pressure is regulated by

hand when using sawing machineswith pneumatic or hydraulic contactpressure. It is recommended that Jansen clamping supports (in aluminium) are used to hold the profiles in position.

Take note:� When processing ground stainless

steel profiles, we recommend thatyou cover these with self-adhesive protective film before cutting, so that the surface is fully protectedduring processing and assembly.

Zuschnitt

Für das Zuschneiden von Edelstahl-Profilen sind Sägeblätter aus Schnell-arbeitsstahl (HSS) mit feiner Zahnungzu verwenden. Zwecks Vermeidungvon Korrosionsbildung bei Edelstahldürfen diese nicht für unlegierten Stahleingesetzt werden.

Auf die Schnittgeschwindigkeiten, denVorschub und gute Kühlung ist beson-ders zu achten. Die Emulsions-Flüssig-keit darf keine ferritischen Bestand-teile (z.B. Sägespäne etc.) enthalten.

Im weiteren ist darauf zu achten, dassdie Auflagestellen sauber sind und dieProfile eben aufliegen. Janisol-Edel-stahl-Profile werden mit eingeschobe-ner Alu-Blende zugeschnitten. Um dasHerausgleiten der Alu-Blende zu ver-hindern, wird diese vorgängig fixiert(z.B. mit Klemmzange).

Beim Zuschnitt dürfen die Profile nichtzerdrückt werden. Deshalb empfehlenwir bei Sägemaschinen mit pneumati-sacher oder hydraulischer Anpressungdie Einregulierung von Hand vorzuneh-men. Es empfiehlt sich, beim Spannender Profile die Jansen-Einspann-Unter-

lagen (aus Aluminium) zu verwenden.

Zu beachten:� Bei der Verarbeitung von geschliffe-

nen Edelstahl-Profilen empfehlenwir diese vor dem Zuschnitt mit einer selbstklebenden Schutzfolieabzudecken, damit die Oberflächewährend der Verarbeitung undMontage optimal geschützt ist.

Perçage

Pour percer l’acier inoxydable, utiliserdes forets hélicoïdaux en acier à couperapide (HSS). Les forets doivent tou-jours être bien aiguisés. Il est recom-mandé de ne pas amorcer les centresde perçage, ce qui provoquerait unécrouissage.

à observer: Dans la mesure du possible, toujours utiliser des gabarits de perçage Jansen.

Fraisage

Des fraises avec des lames fortementdépouillées et de larges goujures forte-ment tournées en acier à coupe rapide(HSS) ou dotées de métal dur se prê-tent au fraisage de l’acier inoxydable.

Souder

Pratiquement tous les procédés desoudage courants dans la pratiquepeuvent être utilisés pour souder l’acier inoxydable. Le soudage à l’arcTIG est particulièrement appropriépour nos profilés en acier inoxydableaux parois minces (1,5 mm).Le résultat de soudage dépend essenti-ellement de la préparation avant sou-dage. Les points de soudage ou lesarêtes de coupe ne doivent présenteraucune souillure par de la graisse, del’huile ou autres substances organi-ques. Celles-ci pourraient provoquerdes carburations et des inclusionsdans le cordon de soudure.Les profilés doivent être solidement et soigneusement serrés dans la zonede soudage (par exemple onglet).

Par rapport aux aciers non alliés, lesdivergences possibles sont à observer:

� un coefficient de dilatation thermi-que plus élevé (environ 50%)

� conductibilité thermique plus faible � résistance électrique 6 x plus

élevée

Drilling

High-speed steel (HSS) twist drills are to be used to drill stainless steel.The drills must always be kept sharp. It is not advisable to mark drill centreswith a centre punch as this will causecold hardening.

Take note:Use Jansen drill templates whenever possible.

Milling

Milling machines with heavily undercut cutting edges and wide, well turned flutes made from high-speed steel (HSS) or hard metal aresuitable for milling stainless steel.

Welding

Virtually all conventional welding techniques can be used to weld stainless steel. TIG welding is parti-cularly suitable for our thin-walledstainless steel profiles (1.5 mm). The weld result depends largely on the seam preparation. Welded surfaces and/or cut edges must not be soiled by grease, oils or other organic substances, as this may leadto carbonisation and occlusions in the weld seam.The profiles must be carefully and securely clamped in the weld area (e.g. mitre joint).

The following differences by comparison with plain steels are to be observed:

� A higher thermal expansion coefficient (approx. 50%)

� Lower thermal conductivity� The electrical resistance is

6 x greater

Bohren

Zum Bohren von Edelstahl sind Spiral-bohrer aus Schnellarbeitsstahl (HSS)einzusetzen. Die Bohrer müssen immerscharf geschliffen sein. Es empfiehltsich, die Bohrzentren nicht anzukör-nen, weil dadurch eine Kaltverfesti-gung verursacht wird.

Zu beachten:Wenn immer möglich Jansen-Bohrlehren einsetzen.

Fräsen

Zum Fräsen von Edelstahl eignen sichFräser mit stark hinterschnittenenSchneiden und breiten, stark gewen-delten Spannuten aus Schnellarbeits-stahl (HSS) oder mit Hartmetall be-stückt.

Schweissen

Für das Schweissen von Edelstahl lassen sich praktisch alle in der Praxisüblichen Schweissverfahren einsetzen.Für unsere dünnwandigen Edelstahl-Profile (1,5 mm) eignet sich dieWIG/TIG-Schweissung besonders.Das Schweissergebnis hängt wesent-lich von der Nahtvorbereitung ab. DieSchweissstellen resp. Schnittkantendürfen keine Verunreinigungen durchFette, Öle oder andere organischeStoffe aufweisen. Diese könnten zuAufkohlungen und Einschlüssen in der Schweissnaht führen.Die Profile sind im Schweissbereich(z.B. Gehrung) besonders sorgfältigund fest einzuspannen.

Gegenüber den unlegierten Stählensind folgende Abweichungen zu beachten:

� ein höherer Wärmeausdehnungs-koeffizient (ca. 50%)

� niedrigere Wärmeleitfähigkeit� der elektrische Widerstand ist

Recommandations pour un soudageparfait de l’acier inoxydable:

Les projections, calamines et couleursde ternissement dues à la soudure doi-vent être proprement enlevées de lapièce, sans quoi de la corrosion peutapparaître à ces endroits.

Traitement ultérieur mécanique de

cordon de soudure

Des brosses, meules ou sableusespeuvent être utilisées pour le traite-ment ultérieur mécanique de points de soudage. Les outils de meulage doivent être exempts de fer et ne doivent pas avoir été utilisés aupara-vant pour des aciers non alliés. On utilise pour cela essentiellement desmeuleuses portatives avec des disquesabrasifs ou des pierres à meule. Veillerà ce que la vitesse de meulage n’excè-de pas 40 m/s, des réchauffements lo-caux pouvant autrement se produire. La surface sablée, métallique et blan-che doit être ensuite décapée. On obti-ent ainsi une résistance accrue à lacorrosion.

Traitement ultérieur chimique de

cordon de soudure

On utilise des pâtes ou des gels abrasifs pour le traitement chimique ultérieur de points de soudage (cou-leurs de ternissement et calamine). Les restes d’acides ne doivent pas rester sur les pièces décapées (à observer particulièrement dans le cas des fentes et des creux). Après le décapage, toujours rincer abondam-ment à l’eau.

Recommendations for perfect stainless steel welds:

� Heat removal via a copper rail (can double up as a weld template)

� Use a low applied welding energy per mm

� Use proper welding apparatus (Jansen welding table)

� Tack in short intervals

Splashes, oxides and discolorationproduced by the welding process areto be totally removed from the work-piece to prevent corrosion at thesepoints.

Mechanical weld-seam after

treatment

Brushing, grinding and shot blasting are among the mechanical aftertreat-ments possible for weld surfaces. The grinding tools must be iron-freeand must not have been previously used for plain steels. Hand grindingmachines with grinding discs or stonesare predominantly used. Care must be taken to ensure that the grinding speed does not exceed 40 m/s, because local hot spots may otherwiseform.The blasted, mechanically bright surfaces should then be pickled to achieve a higher corrosion resistance.

Chemical weld-seam after

treatment

Conventional pickling pastes or gels are used for the chemical aftertreat-ment of weld surfaces (to remove discoloration and oxides). No acid residues should remain on the pickledparts (particularly in cracks and cavities). After the pickling treatment,the part should therefore be thoroughly rinsed in water.

Durch das Schweissen entstandeneSpritzer, Zunder und Anlauffarben sindvom Werkstück sauber zu entfernen,da sonst an diesen Stellen Korrosionauftreten kann.

Mechanische Schweissnaht-

Nachbehandlung

Für die mechanische Nachbehandlungvon Schweissstellen kommen Bürsten,Schleifen oder Strahlen in Betracht.Die Schleifwerkzeuge müssen eisenfreisein und dürfen vorher nicht für unle-gierte Stähle verwendet worden sein.Hierfür verwendet man vorwiegendHandschleifmaschinen mit Schleif-scheiben oder Schleifsteinen. Es istdarauf zu achten, dass die Schleifge-schwindigkeit 50 m/s nicht überschrei-tet, weil sich sonst örtliche Erwärmun-gen bilden könnten.Die gestrahlte, metallisch blanke Ober-fläche sollte anschliessend gebeiztwerden. Es wird dadurch eine höhere Korrosionsbeständigkeit erzielt.

Chemische Schweissnaht-

Nachbehandlung

Für die chemische Nachbehandlungvon Schweissstellen (Anlauffarben undZunder) verwendet man handelsübli-che Beizpasten oder Beizgels. Säure-reste dürfen nicht auf den gebeiztenTeilen zurückbleiben (besonders zu be-achten bei Spalten und Hohlräumen).Nach der Beizbehandlung muss des-halb mit Wasser kräftig nachgespültwerden.

Grinding/Polishing

When grinding/polishing stainlesssteel, its low heat conductivity compa-red with plain steels means that caremust be taken not to use excessivecontact pressure, as the material mayotherwise warp or tarnish due to local overheating. The grinding materials(grinding disks, abrasive belts, polis-hing disks) must not contain any iron,so that the risk of extraneous rust canavoided.

� Remove protective films immediately after assembly, above all if the structure is exposed to the elements.

� Nach dem Entfernen der selbst-klebenden Schutz-Folie ist eine Grundreinigung unerlässlich (unsichtbare Kleberrückstände)

Reinigung/Pflege

Nach der Montage der Edelstahl-Elemente ist eine Erstreinigung (Bau-reinigung) durchzuführen, damit derBauschmutz gründlich entfernt wird.Auch Schutzschichten (z.B. Klebefolien,Schutzpapier, Abziehlacke bzw. Rück-stände aus Haftkleber) müssen voll-ständig entfernt werden.Kalk- oder Zementmörtelspritzer soll-ten möglichst vor dem Erhärten mit einem Gummischaber, Holzspan oderÄhnlichem abgeschabt werden. Farb-spritzer können mit Lösungsmittel-reiniger entfernt werden. Für die Reinigung werden meistens abrasivwirkende Reinigungsmittel (enthaltenweiche Polierkörner) oder saure Reini-gungsmittel benutzt. Die Anweisungender Hersteller sind besonders zu be-achten.

Nettoyage/entretien

Veuillez respecterscrupuleusement les instructions dufabricant.

Cleaning/Care

In order to remove all constructiondirt, a first cleaning (structure cleaning) must be carried out after assembly of the stainless steel elements. Any protective layers (e.g. adhesive films, protective paper, striplacquers and adhesive remnants) must be completely removed. Splashes of lime or cement mortar should be scraped off before harde-ning if possible, using a squeegee,wood chip or similar. Paint splashescan be removed with a solvent cleaner. Cleaning agents with an abrasive action (contain soft polishinggrains) or acidic cleaning agents aremostly used for cleaning. Particularnote should be taken of the manufac-turer’s instructions.

Werkstoff 1.4401 (X5CrNiMo17-12-2)

Der Edelstahl 1.4401 gehört zu den aus-tenitischen Stählen. Die austenitischenCrNi-Stähle bieten eine besonders günstige Kombination von Verarbeit-barkeit, mechanischen Eigenschaftenund hoher Korrosionsbeständigkeit.Durch die Chrom-Nickel-Molybdän-Legierung hat der Werkstoff 1.4401 eine gute Beständigkeit gegen Lochfrass, sowie gegen chlorid- und schwefeldioxidhaltige Atmosphären.Dies unterscheidet ihn von den Werk-stoffen 1.4301 / 1.4307 welche keineMolydänlegierung aufweisen.

Der Werkstoff 1.4401 (AISI 316) ist auch in chloridhaltiger Atmosphäre beständig und eignet sich daher fürden Einsatz in:

L'acier Inox 1.4401 appartient à la famille des aciers austénitiques. Material 1.4401 (X5CrNiMo17-12-2)

Stainless steel 1.4401 is an austeniticsteel. Austenitic CrNi steels have a particularly good combination of processibility, mechanical propertiesand a high level of corrosion resistance. The chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy gives material1.4401 good resistance to pitting corrosion as well as to atmospherescontaining chloride and sulphur dioxide. This distinguishes it from materials 1.4301 / 1.4307 that do notcontain a molybdenum alloy.
